Does the watts and if it spins play a role? Mine is 1250w and spins. It takes two minunets and fifteen seconds to heat up eight ounces of plastic.

How would I go about crimping the rivet? The larger part that touches the blade. I have been getting my buzzbaits from Hunter Creek. I only use them in tournaments. The rivet does not spin after I throw them into the rocks a couple of times. I am just tring to find a more sensable way to do it. Plus people stare when I do it but it helps me catch fish better after I do it. It seems to make them more squeky and girgle more. It seems weired but it works. It does beat them up pretty bad they don't last as long after all that.

BigBassBo has a good idea you would have to put the rolled up mesh in the mold like a lamanet. Pour half in when its apart then put the mesh tube in while its still hot. Then pour the same or diffrent color in after you put it back together. It should stay in place that way. We can do anything on this site if we put are heads together. I bet in a year or so the big timers will have stole this idea of Ed Barbant. Then he won't get any credit for it their million dollar theifs I mean reserch and feild team will. Just think we copy them we get sued and they copy us they make millions. What a perfect world!

I have a couple that I can't live with out. Here Goes 4" and 6" brush hogs in the colors of red shad, greenpumpkin and purple swirl with purple flake, greenpumpkin with green flake. Then I got to have my 5.25" sticks in red shad, sour grape and greenpumpkin purple swirl with purple flake. Sorry I got one more my new 7" ribbon tail got have red shad, watermelon with red flake and black and blue. I will have to admit I have more soft plastics than the normal person. I have a new kick I keep buying Strike King Rage Tails now. The frogs and the craws they are killer. The shad tails I only caught small one's I don't recamend them. Sorry for going on but I am a junkie on soft plastics!

What I am trying to do is make a buzzbait have more squeeal right out the pack. Is their anything I can do to achive this. I have heard if you put a thin peice of metal tube on the wire that goes though a off center blade. It will make it louder. I don't have a clue on how to do this I can disassemble it I just don't know what to use. Would a spring from a pen work? or would that just catch more weeds than fish.

Would spraying them with WD-40 help them not stick?

Sorry the top of the body is Del's pumpkin with senkosams flake. The bottom is the MF brown grape with no flake. I have used that same pot on that setting every time I use it. I wonder if the pot is going bad. It is a year and half old. It has never done it before.

Is this from oover heating. It is MF Brown Grape (changeable) on the tail. I started pouring got twelve good one's (top) and then it went to the color on the bottom. Poof just like that I had just turned down the heat on my lee's pot. I am using 12 oz of plastic (Cahloun plastic) and 45 drops of the color for the tail. I heated it up in the microwave tell it geled clear then heated it up th rest of the way in the pot then added color. Turned the heat down after 12 were poured the next twelve were slightly darker if any. Then they all whent to crap after that. They turned a dark purple with a dark greenish hi lite. I have never had this happen before.

Tried serach came up empty. what would I need to buy to make resin molds? Is it stuff the I can get at Home Depot or Lowes? What is the resin called? I think it is trasparent brown in color. How much does it cost to buy? Whats the best way to make the mold glue to a pan or press in from the top? Thanks for any help!

Their is no magic color to catch fish. You can use any color you want and still catch fish. It all has to with water clarity. Clear or staind, sunny or cloudy. Also the depth has a part in it some colors are harder for the fish to see as they get deeper. Their is a site that showes you what colors they see best thinks green's and red's are up their. Thats way red line and bleeding baits are BS. Way does evey lure that has red on it advertise blood. The fish doesn't relate red to blood and why buy line that is red if it dissapears under the water so its invisable. Why do you buy lures if it has red on it while the red line you are using disapears under water? The only thing that matters is how much confadince (bad spelling) in that color or lure using. If you trust that color or lure you fish it ten times better than the other one. Its all in your head. Rember it all has to do with water clarity, weather, and most important you.

I had to fis in a tournament a couple of weeks ago. That cotten was every were. I had to quit using a buzzbait I was spending to much time cleaning than fishing. I couldn't tell if bass were popping the top or it was carp popping the top. It was carp of course. Oh well we still won by a pound and a half with 6.1lb. Lake also whent up three feet in a day.

I think it would have been cheaper and faster to put three or four Chevy 383 strokers in it. Better they got caught anyways then ruin another kids life.

I love the MF brown watermelon but its a little to brown so I tweaked it a little This is for 12oz 35 Drops MF Brown Watermelon 25 Drops Del Light Watermelon Thats with no salt It gives it a little watermellon green to it. My customers seem to like it.

It has to do with the swimming action and to keep the swimbait horazintal ( bad spelling). That is what I was told. I have been using a solid one with a hook slot.

Here's another idea insted of using wire to connect the hooks try using braided line that may help keep the weight down.

what kind of glitter do you got. I switched to the purple Senkosam's has and it doesn't bleed as bad as my other kind did. I am going to order some more glitter from him. I have some other colors that bleed bad. I think I will have to try everybodys glitter to find the colors that don't bleed.

I am thinking of conveting my pond jumper. How stable are they? I have heard the tip easier after you convet them. I am getting a Bass boat next spring so I didn't want to dump very much into it. I am only going to use it for farm ponds. Does anybody have a guesstamet for conveting it? I would like to keep under $500 is that resonable?

Answer to #1 hobby store on-line (Hobby Town USA, Hobby Lobby or google it) Answer to #2 For jigs check with Lure Craft, Jann Craft and Barlows. For soft baits I have no clue! Answer to #3 Yes you need to deep it in clear plastic. To protect your paint job and help keep the eyes on.

It might be the glitter and the heat. Mine turned my emreald green with purple holographic flake ribbon tails. Into a emreald green that actully turns to purple when move them around then turns back to emreals green. I actullay like it and I have sold a hundred now. I found if I turn the heat up a little with the purple hologaphic flake it bleeds and mixes in with the plastic. So it might be a little of both.

Vodkaman have you seen some of the soft plastics the big guys are comming out with. They call them hand poured but my first POP molds produced better looking baits and they charge more. MDC you will have to let me in on your 2-piece secret mine keep comming out like crap. I can't get one right POP is cheap I wasted a quater bag already.

I still have braided on one pole its for cutting weeds. I use either a Strike King Rage Tail Frog or a Spro Frog with it. Works great for thta kind of fishing for me.

I showed the pictures to a Nebraska game and parks warden at the lake the other day. Sorry I don't rember his name but he drives a silver 07 or 08 Ford F-150. He said it was it was a five pounder maybe a little more. He was going off the ones that they had shocked up for a fish censue and it was the time of the year when they spawn. They are also trying to figure out way they have balck crappie in the lake When they never put in any in it when the lake got redone five to six years ago. Anyways he said I could get a master angler award. It has to be a certian size or a certian weight and have a witness sign the form. You also can show them your picture and you can get one also but thats on your word with hardly any facts. He said if I took or sent the picture in to their office I could get the award (most lakes here are total catch and release on large mouth some do have a 21" min. to be able to keep one). I am not going to take the picture in to get the award. I want the fished weighed by them or with them their to get a true award for it. So their is no question in my mind that it was worthy. Their is to much I didn't do to get the picture right and I was to lazy and forgetful to change batteries in the scale. So thats why when I show people the picture. I say I caught a 4 1/2lb. to 5 1/4lb. bass. Anyway you look at it their still nice fish.
