  3. Well said pikeman, i can not agree with you more.
  4. Pikeman, I agree with you fully. Emptycooler, If I was you, I would tell or ask the site owner to remove your tutorial from the site. You can always offer it up in a thread. I too am disappointed in the way this site is going, even though I have only been a member for a short while. My email adress is doug@scottishghillie.com I have no problem with giving it out to members (partial or full).
  5. Why waste eyes , dont put them on at all until ready to do final layer of topcoating. JMO and sorry dont use Dick Nites either.
  6. nice looking lure , but liked it before you added the throat and fins. JMO
  7. Some more new ones for your eyes to feast upon
  8. yes and no Cant view any of them now , since it changed over to pay per view... Nice job.
  9. I get mine from ebay, been quite lucky. Not a lot on there but when there is some I usually snap then up. Search for "bodies" or "blanks" within fishing seems to
  10. Sounds feasible. All depends on the type of wood your using and how fast you went it to get down. Suppose it also matters how you are hinging the 2 parts of the lure.
  11. Cant you slightly enlarge the eye hole for the nearest matching eyes?
  12. As ever, any comments more than welcome.

  14. Sorry B75nweav, I havent checked this before now. Now its a slow-sinking crankbait. Slightly oval shape head. Thanks for looking.
  15. redg8r, yes I am a guide and of course I charge people for my time and expertise and equip hire etc. I also run a website and it doesnt cost me anything. I also looked into running a forum, again I could that for free, using the same company that you use. Additionally I didnt say to all my customers, hire me for no cost, then when they returned for future trips, I didnt say oh by the way it will now cost you. I dont want this to degenerate in to a p***ing contest. You made your descision. You will live with it, I've made mine and will also live with it. Again I wish you luck for the future.
  16. I dont believe it!! You went ahead to charge people for sharing their tips. Well as I said in your poll when you warned about this. I will not be paying for membership. Thanks for really considering what the people want. I'll keep looking at the site till my access is suspended. Good luck.
  17. Has happened to me in my limited time of lure building. Kind of worked it out that if I'm using the flourencent colours over epoxy or any other clear top coat I'll get the crackle effect. Now I know about it, I might use it to good effect. But bummer for you Diemai as I know you have put a lot of time and effort in to this particular lure.
  18. Finally got round to adding some pics to the site . ANy comments etc always welcome

  21. Having read all the posts to date, I can see both sides of the fence. However, I will not be supporting a fee to keep the site going. I havent posted a lot as I am just starting out and my technical knowledge so I am more of a taker than a giver (to quote an earlier post). I use the internet the same as I use a library. I need to find out about something, I go on line. I am a fishing guide and I am making lures for myself in an attempt to keep the cost of guiding down, as well as making them just for pleasure. I vote no to change and subscriptions, at any level.
  22. How about keeping your eyes out for old chairs and bed ends. They have plenty of nice lure shapes already carved out for you. A couple of quick cuts with a saw and plenty of elbow grease with sandpaper and you have a great looking lure.
  23. Thanks for the explaination of that mystery Spike, I thought I was goinf mad
  24. sickmtackle on ebay stores seems to have the ford fender blades that you are looking for. I did try posting the link but it didnt work.
