  1. my opinion is that its very lite root beer. on the one link Jim posted.. the original post light hitch is a different color hmm..
  2. you should be able to get a medical sheet ( there is a proper name for it ) from any place that sells plastisol. I got one from Lure Craft last year. Took it to my doctor.. I was having a soar throat after making a lot of baits. he did not think it was the plastisol. Now I said he did not -- think --- it was the plastisol.. did not know for poss. I feel the scents ,,garlic,, craw ,, ect,, have worse fumes..I have not got any med. sheets on the scents yet.. I did not pour all winter and I now feel good, I also have a better hood vent this year..so far no soar throat..but I have not made a whole lot of baits,,maybe 4-5 hundred so far.. different people can get a different problem from plastic,, it mite not bother some people and then others mite be affected.. just my opinion.. Jeff
  3. here is the reply I got from them on the diff, Ultrasol uses a different plasticizer that gives a softer feel at the same relative Shore OO rating Bruce McElroy Spike-It Outdoors, Inc
  4. start by stiring it up completely.. then pour out say ...4 oz. then add 1 table spoon of softner to the 4 oz cook and test to see if the softness needs a tweak.
  5. add some softner to it. shouldn't need to much.
  6. the plastic may not have been stired up the same with each batch.. you mite have stired more hardner into the plastic in one batch. meaning the hardner that is settled to the bottom of the jug. make sure you stir,, stir,, stir ,, then,, shake ,, shake,,
  7. I have 1000s of these all made.. ( I bought these, they are injected ) many different colors. I mite have what you need I can sell some reasonable.if you would like.
  8. that is exactly why I use a clear jug,, when I am shaking the jug... by the way I use LC plastic.. I can turn the jug over and see the bottom,, I can tell when --- all --- the plastic that is stuck to the bottom of the jug has ben mixed in..
  9. I would also try the softner.. but , take out a small amount of plastic then add softner to that small amount 1st to see if it works. that way you will not waste a lot of softner. if it doesn't work.

  20. You are correct, for the small guy, ( buying less than 55 gal drums ) there is not much money to be made after all the taxes, equipment, material, vent system,,electric,,, ebay ,,web site,,ect.. I have kept tract of every penny,, to the best I can,, electric & heat are hard to judge,, For us small guys you need to just enjoy the hobby. its a fun deal, make a living no way.. pay your pouring bills -- maybe ? Jeff

  22. I am pretty sure that when I buy supplies from Hagens even if its EWG hooks they charge me 10% my opinion would be, if you have pd the 10% on all the components then you would "not" have to pay it on the final product.
