I like Med - Hard w/ NO salt.. helps the hook stay in better with firm plastic,, and with No salt helps heep it on top of the water.

88, will you be getting a 16" stick bait mold from Del's ??

when salt is added to a bait it firms up the bait , the bait will not be as soft as a bait with out salt.. Salt it self is hard so that added to plastic makes the plastic harder.If a lot of salt is added then you need to add a softner to the plastic to compinsate for the salt.

pouring out side is the best ventilation you can get,...moisture and maybe the wind,, it can move your pour stream when pouring fine areas.I like to do it out side on the deck,, but its a lot of work to move all the stuff out side then bring it back in.If you set up a area out side to always use it would be nice.

Is the pre poured tip covering a vent hole ??

That would be my guess 2 Dave ... if not Motor Oil maybe amber brown. ??

I could not find laminate bags in the u-line book ??

I pour a 14" flat sided but it has a twister tail. sorry.

my count on that mix is 592 also ... how are you counting 300 pc.. ?? maybe w/ just the plastic and no aditives you would get 300. also a lot of the gallon worm counts I read are for 6" worms,, not Senko style,, 5 1/4" senko style worm needs more plastic than a 6" reg. worm. ( much thinner bait )

I am sure it can be & is being done.. But, I feel that it will take a lot of money to get stocked up on all items needed.. in buisness to make a living you will have to beable to put out a large volume of baits..many molds ( hand pour ) or very large molds injection,, buy plastic by the 55 gallon.. and so on.. and the compitition is very tough.. every one & there brother is allready making baits.. making enough baits to pay all bills & take a pay check is one thing... being able to sell that many baits is another.. I am very interested in hearing from some of the bait makers.

are you talking about a Fat Ika Type bait ???
