Tylerd,
I would figure out how many baits you can get out of a 4 oz. batch.
and make that your min. of each color.. I get a little more for 2 color baits.. ( example- put 1 colors baits in packs of 10-12 and put 2 color baits in packs of 8-10 and charge the same per pk.)you also need to get started some where.. so its your call..learn as you go..
take in all the info we have posted and do what works best for you..
---
When I figure my cost..
I figure... Plastic,, softner & or hardner,,salt,, color,,,scent,, Glitter,,oil & packaging....
---
scent is exspensive,,the highest cost of all additives,, so use sparingly..but I prefer to always use scent..
-----
for the glitter , softner, hardner, oil, salt, scent,, I price by the teaspoon or table spoon,,,, for color, by the drop.. use an empty color bottle and fill with water and see how many drops of water you get,,,
after you get your cost figured,, you can average the cost of batches out.. because some batches use more or less of the additives,,so find a good average cost per batch..
-----
if you are buying plastic by the gallon,,
oils,glitters & scents ect,,by the pint
colors by the 1-2 oz.
I would guess $ 2.00 for a 4 oz. batch..
thats with scent,color,, oil,,,glitter,,plastic,,softner & or hardner..
plus add for packaging..
