    BASS BOYS BAITS

Here is a couple items I have done. Jeff www.bassboysbaits.com
  2. Goon, Yes I had a store tell me I need my own UPC lables. The price shocked me and I passed on it. Big store and would have been a good location to sell , but to recoop the cost of the lables, I do not think so.
  3. All great advice guys, a few small dents.. no problem,,, heat plastic in short burst and stir well before reheating every time always..... Jeff Home Page
  4. nice work,, mold mite have been too hot..?? try filling the mold a little slower and check your dents .. keep up the good work,..
  5. watermelon & Green Pumpkin both in a red flake and candy.. what about some browns ?? Jim, Purple flake can be very good. ( used in candy or by it self )
  6. mite be the bags your using. a regular zip type bag will not hold oil & scent. you need a Laminated bag.
  7. I tried a smaller type deep fryer,, not sure if it was a fry daddy or not, it only had ,, low,, med, & high.. it would not get hot enough for the plastic to melt down thin enough.. I would think if its gets hot enough it should work..
  8. OOWCH is right.!! I am sure they will get you fixed up.. I just had Carp. done on my right wrist jan. 5th and go back on FRIDAY-- THE --13TH...feb. to get 2 trigger fingers releast on the left hand.. had the carp done on the left 2 years back and it works great, so they do some good work.. Good Luck Bear.
  9. If you were to heat the wire up .. some how .. that mite let the plastic flow past it.?? just a thought.
  10. For Me,,, I like to add the scent just before the plastic is ready to pour,,, then also a small amount in the bags.
  11. Red, What is your thought on salt ??
  12. Pro..175, shoot me an email. I will give you some help. Jeff hocoinwiz@cmsinter.net
  13. Paster Shane, Is rite on.!!! if you will be using any type of weight with the bait no salt is needed..Some guys even fish weightless with out salt.. Salt mainly adds weight so the bait will sink..To much added salt will cause you to have to add softner also because a heavy salted bait is very firm.
  14. Very good advice has been posted. You may want some salt .. & some scent.. ventilation is very important.. the fumes bother me even with a mask.. I will be getting some goggles also because I am sure the fumes get to my bodies internal system through my eyes.. do not over cook........... and make sure you stir & stir the plastic between every burst in the micro. if you are using any Chartreuse color you mite want to put it in the plastic when its cold..That mite also go with the hardner. If you need the hardner. wait to put scent in after it gets up to temp. Good Luck..
  15. contact,, Kim or Shawn @ LC..

    Bags

Go to Lure Craft.. they have a 4x4 laminated worm bag. $ 11.98 for 100,, cheaper if you buy more. they have larger sizes too. www.lurecraft.com
  17. Randy, fill the mold past 1/2 way. fill it to the point the dents are then wait, but not a minute I do not think ? maybe 30 seconds and if using a micro reheat the plastic for 15 sec. then finish the pours. just mite work .
  18. slowing your pour is a good idea. also try to pour the cavities 1/2 -3/4 full then go back and top off. make sure the plastic is not to cool or you will get a seam between the 2 pours.
  19. are the dimples always in apx. the same area on the bait ?
  20. Scott, I mite be interested ?? I am in Michigan and the weather is going to hold off your hand poured bait sales ( except ice fishing ) for you in Ohio a while .That will give you time to get the shop up & going. I would get a very large assortment of stuff. By that, I would only have a couple of each item, say,, 2 packs of each color , but a good asst. of colors.1st impressions are important.!! When the doors open and guys come in they want to see a good asst. With the something new,, that will help.. That way you can have a great variety with out having tons of money invested. Then as you figure out what your traffic wants, you can ajust inventory then, It will not be easy,, a lot of Wal marts & ebays out there. But it can be done. good luck & keep us up to date on your progress.
