  1. Bruce you know what I like about Greenbay the most, besides exciting football games, is that you guys have the most dedicated fans in the world. I highly admire that. It says alot about the people there. Good luck w/ that tackle shop. Don't ever give up on your dreams it will happen soon. CA Delta
  2. Football, lets talk football. I live in CA, Bay Area, I can't watch the Raiders on TV because they don't sell enough tickets. Speaking of buying tickets thats a $200 day for me & the kid. So we sit in the LEFT FEILD BLEACHERS for $12, GO OAKLAND A'S... Just like a good game, football or BASEBALL. Your right though, Take a kid fising every chance you get. My 13 year old daughter float tubes w/ me throwing her Curado 201 in her Cadis Nevada Gold from April to Sept, slingin 5lbs. all day.Black bass that is. Fish on!!!
  3. Hey thanks Bruce. Man if you ever get that tackle shop on the waters edge, shoot me an E-mail & I'm on my way. This all started out as a challenge, now I'm obsessed w/ making a durable, realistic, swimbait. I'm so HOOKED. P.S. I've always rooted for GREENBAY!!! But I'm a big baseball fan @ heart.
  4. I was wondering if any one has taken there lure making hobby & turned it into a succsesful business. If so how do you get your business licsense, webpage, advertising, company name ect...
  5. Thanks for all the feedback. I'm beging to realize I've just seen the tip of the iceberg w/ making swimbaits. I take two steps forward & three steps back. This is quite the learning process. I just painted my swimbait w/ some OSH int. ext. enamal rattle can. Need to spray less next time, Waiting for her to dry so I can sand down & spray some Krylon. I'm sure I'll be buying a compressor & gun soon. This is nuts, LOVE IT- CA Delta.
  6. I tried drilling free hand & the bit ended up wandering. The hole that the pin goes into was a mess. Instead I put 2 screw eyes for the top & bottom w/ a pin going through all 4. I need a strong pin to use. Any ideas? A 6/32 srew fits in the holes but the nut is binding my action. The bait is A four peice, 10" long & weighs 8oz. I made my cuts @ 30 degrees, not enough meet to successfully drill.
  7. Thanks for the feedback. BobP is right, thats electrical phase tape holding everything together while I move & add more weight. This lure was 11" long & weighs 7oz. The hinge system was from a tie down stap for a motorcycle. The bad news is it absorbed the water into the belly cavity where the weights were placed. The head started sinking a little bit. I didnt like that. So Im on #3. Just got my stainless steel scew eyes in. Here we go again, man I love a good challenge. Thanks again CA Delta.
  8. Hey guys, new to the site. Love bass fishing & lure making. Take a look @ my 2nd. attempt w/ this very challenging hobby. Any feedback would be great, negative or positive. It's nice to find a site w/ the same interests. Thanks CA Delta. Photobucket Login YouTube - different video Prototype #2
