  4. Pete. thats a great idea, Maybe we should x-ray it, so we don't have to cut it up. On another note, I asked JR, if he wouldn't mind, if I tried to attempt a movable pectoral fin. To bad I can't get a complete break down, step by step with pictures or maybe even some blueprints. Ha Ha . I'm sure my attempt, won't even work, but you guys know how JR gets the wheels spinning for most of us. All kidding aside John, please keep us guessing????? Tim

  11. Nice way to be remembered John. Keep us posted with the new designs & killer paint jobs. I'm thinking of ordering another one of your baits so I can actually fish with one & frame the other. Now, thats a compliment. Tim
  12. I'm sitting here with my mouth grinning from ear to ear, just shaking my head in amazement. I know I always have real nice things to say about John, but the guy is truly a craftsman/artist. We all work real hard on making baits here on TU, sharing our info & learning as we go. Then there is JR Hopkins. I bet he wakes up in the morning & says to himself, hey, I think I'll go try the impossible today. Keep up the hard work John. Tim

    7" Tru-Life Bluegill

jcheetam, that bluegill is simply stunning. Your gallery looks awsome. Keep up the hard work. Tim
  18. I to, have posted that same question. The feedback I got back was to take some frisk-et tape or put a small piece of modeling clay into the notched areas. Once the epoxy has set up, you can take your Exacto knife & carve out the tape or clay. Hope this helps. I see guys in the gallery re-painting the Sebile & they look really nice. Hopefully they will see this thread. Tim

    8 inch Jumbo Perch

As always Vince, that is simply beautiful. I think you should change your name to "FAST FINGERS". The way you pump those quality lures out, just baffles me. Keep up the hard work. Tim
  20. A lot of us know Diemai, here on TU. He goes out of his way to help you & cheer you on, through this never ending journey of bait making. Once again, he has given back. I posted this here for those who may have not known about the "How To - tutorial section". Thanks Dieter. Tim http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/hardbait-how/16991-sheet-metal-hinges.html#post126443
  21. Dieter, you are simply amazing, my friend. That is so ingenious, creative, clever, the list goes on. Great now I have to try & fabricate a hinge now. I realize how much time & effort was put into this tutorial & I'm grateful. Thank you so much for sharing your findings & I can't wait to see whats next. Take care. Tim
  22. B.P. Your very welcome, anytime. I originally got the idea from John Hopkins, & then saw someone here post some pics of basically the same method, can't remember who it was though. Pete, I will definitely keep that in mind. Thanks. Tim
  23. Gator, those are awsome, as always. I haven't heard from you in awhile. Now I see why . Keep up the hard work. Tim
  24. Forgot to mention attaching the fin. I use a 1/8" wide stone sander on the dremel & carve out a 1/8" deep slot. Then take your 30 min. D2T & lay a thin layer into the slot. Now set your tail into place. If your tail is nice & snug, you shouldn't have to worry about it leaning, during the drying period. You may need to fill in some voided areas with epoxy, after it sets up. Tim
