    "repaint"

I didn't like the first one so I repainted it my question to you is should I sand it, or seal it w/ D2T? I'm not looking for compliments, just want some creative criticism. I cant paint w/ a brush & don't have an airbrush yet, so I started to use a sponge the other day. It was kind of fun. Please be brutally honest, I have a lot of hours into this one & I don't want to waist my time sealing it only to see what my wife could have done. Thanks in advance. 6. Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket Here is an examlpe of why I need an airbrush & why I need to have the wife paint my lures. "LOL"!!!! "Humorous comments welcome"
  7. Looked @ site, I didn't see any air brushes. Need HELP!!!
  8. Hey Snax, NICE JOB I'm leaning on the site here that a lot of you guys put weight in all segments & @ the lower belly of your baits. I have have put my ballast in the first & second ,but not all segments. Do I just add equal amounts of weight until I get the right bouyancy I'm looking for? Have you found that this helps or hinders the action? Do you look for your bait to be level, nose up or dowm, or does it even matter? Anyone else have some input, the more the marrier. Thanks & keep up the great work.
  9. Thanks 21xdc I like that one! I was aslo looking @ these. Does anyone use or like these two, good or bad? Senco 1/2 HP 1 GALLON Compressor - PC1010 at The Home Depot http://www.tcpglobal.com/airbrushdepot/itemdetail.aspx?itemno=ABD+TC-196
  10. Thanks so much for all of your great advise. I'm looking on-line for the best deal, but nothing to cheap. Sounds like I need at least 100 PSI. w/ a 1 1/2 To 3 gallon would work. I want to be able to spray some aplle barrel thinned w/ windex using a PS1000 Or PS900 W/ a .3mm tip. Trying to get most everything under $200. Thanks again, TIM...
  11. Harbor Freight Tools - Quality Tools at the Lowest Prices Just wondering what you guys think about this compressor & maybe w/ a PS900 from buyairbrushes.com. Thanks in advance.
  12. Here is my wife just messing around w/ some apple barrel paints & the kids brushes. She is wanting to paint my new bluegill prototypes this weekend. I'll post some pics soon, must be nice to have talent. I give it movement, she brings it to life. This is kinda crazy!!! I can't wait to see what she can do w/ an airbrush. 13. Mountain Man, that looks awsome. That would be great to see some swim video on your new lure.
  14. Hey Bob, what epoxy putty are you using? Any certain brand you like? I've been filling my holes & dings w/ 5 minute D2T. It works OK, but always looking for something better.
  15. Wow your lures look great. Keep up the good work. Man you guys make painting look so easy. I'm just starting out, maybe I could become someones apprentice.
  16. Thanks Riverman. That is my second attempt @ the pin hinge design. I've seen your lures, keep up the nice work. You guy's on here have taught me so much. I'm still working on another hinge design, less complicated. As you can tell, I'm deffinately hooked.
  17. Here's my attempt @ making a bluegill. This is the large one. I will be working on the smaller one this week. Still waiting to get an airbrush. Don't forget to turn up the volume. Feedback, good or bad welcome. Thanks again CA Delta. http://www.youtube.com/4swimbait
  18. Hey DSV, that trench sounds like a great idea. I to use PVC for my swimbaits. I do most of my testing in the bathtub. I'm able to add or take off weights to find the correct boency I'm looking for. Also I'm able to change the different shaped bills for different S-Patterns. YouTube - 4swimbait's Channel
  19. Finally painted. Wow you guys make ths look easy. I used some Krylon rattle cans, reflector tape & D2T. I've got to get an air brush & a compressor. Thanks again for all your help along the way. Hopefully the next one will actually look like a fish. I know don't quit your day job. Now If I could just catch a monster on this thing, it would all make sense to the wife & kids. Thanks again CA Delta. http://s274.photobucket.com/albums/jj266/4swimbaits/?albumview=grid
  20. I have checked out some threads on Iwata air brushes, but not sold on the one that will best suit my needs. Nothing to expensive, under a $100. Just starting out, as you can see. Also what paint would you guys use on PVC?
  21. Hey Mark, I burned my lure out on the Delta a number of times to see if I could get it to roll out, all was well. Over all I was very pleased w/ its performance. I'd give it a twitch & it 180 back the other way , only to give another twitch to bring it back. It looked badly wounded. I slow roll it, gave it quick bursts, very happy for my 3rd. swimbait. The tail is cut out from a rubber boot, real fancy. The hinges are stainless steel screw eyes. The next lure is going to be a bluegill, broken 2 or 3 times, not sure yet. Thaks again for all the support, Man I'm HOOKED.
  22. OH Bruce your such a kidder. I wished I was talking w/ an expert or two. It felt so good te be out on the water w/ the float tubes. Pretty hot to, about 93 degrees. The bite was good on the smaller crankbaits.
  23. Hey MT, I went out to the Delta today. No hits on the boat anchor, but it sure turns some heads when it lands in the water, BOMBS AWAY. I was very happy w/ the performance. #4 will be a couple oz. lighter. Check out the Delta footage on utube link. FISH ON!!!
  24. My latest attempt, love the feedback. You guys have taught me a lot of little tricks, Thank You to everyone. Still need to get a compressor & air brush, as you can see. YouTube - 4swimbait's Channel Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket
