Yes, you are correct. I was limited to what I had on hand as they sent the wrong sizes for almost everything. But I have learned alot and now realize putting the additional weight may not make the lure balanced, and the blades need to be changed on some. Thanks for all the tips. I'll get it yet.

Good tips Diemai, I'm just learning so any tips are greatly appreciated. Someone else told me about the wire forms not being on a 45 degree angle, and I have fixed that. I realized myself that I needed a trailer hook and have since bought some. As for the blades, I'll have to re-read your notes a few more times to get it right, but thanks very much. Joey

  6. Super guys, thanks alot. And yes, I am in Canada. I'll sort through what I have and go from there and also watch your tutorials, then see if I need to buy a wire bender. Great advice here. I appreciate it. Joey
  7. Hi everyone, I am new here. I just started making my own lures and did quite well with my musky bucktails on Friday night, although it was a bit messy Tonight I started making bucktail spinnerbaits and they proved a bit harder. I bought all my gear from Luremaking.com and I don't think the girl quite knew what I had in mind. She assured me it would all work, but he stirrup clevices won't fit through the blade holes, the beads etc. are too small for the spinnerbait wire forms, and bending the wire forms on a musky spinnerbait is pretty hard. Is there a tool I can do this with, or a technique maybe with my plyers that's not too hard for a gal? I am also trying to find an online tutorial of making musky bucktail spinnerbaits but can't find one. Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated. Also, great site. Thanks all. Joey
