  1. Not sure about the stores but he sure offeres a great discount to TU members if you follow the link from this site.
  2. You want some strong good smelling garlic scent for very little cost. Take a full jar of that minced garlic. empty it into a large fry pan with a full bottle of vegtable oil. Then let it sit there on a medium heat till that garlic is good and brown. Drain the pan back into the original bottle of oil, mark it worm oil and stick it in the fridge. Cheap worm oil. and all you nead to do is either be carefull pouring it so the garlic stays on bottom or strain it out when you get low enough. I like to leave the garlic in till I absolutely have to remove it though just to help keep that stinkin. I am going to do a bit of expiramenting with some anise shrimp and herring oil this winter. I am thinking it may be fun.
  3. I am sure you have figured this out with your other hobbies but I dont think you really end up saving any money. Sure We all can pour a worm or build a lure cheaper than buying one, but look around at anyone of our shops and start adding up the price tags and most of us could fill a couple lifetimes worth of tackle boxes and I could outfit several fishing fleets with rods and reels. So I guess what I am saying is good luck if your trying to save money, but welcome to the addiction. Dels site is a great place to start.
  4. Well I tried the minced garlic and it burned to a crisp in my plastic. turned into little black specks and smelled terrible. But I do use garlic oil a lot. I add it to the plastic, and then add it to the package. Any tips on keeping the minced garlic from burning would be great.
  5. I went there to purchase some but when they show up in the shopping cart they are more than 1.00. Is the sale over maybe? My mistake. I guess we post on this thread what we want. Sorry been a long day of breathing epoxy. maybe time to change the respirater filters.
  6. I am going to take that as a big no. But since I failed to ask the question before I tried the brilliant idea of putting minced garlic in my plastic :whistle:I have to ask has anyone ever tried the high temp mylar tape that is being solf for about $7.00 a roll?
  7. Has anyone had any Pike action on these? Not many Bass around in MT but I wouldnt mind making a few to try on pike if I wasnt wasting my time.
  8. Its starting to sound like DN is the go to to stuff now. Am I mistaken? I havnt tried it yet but my epoxy reserves are almost used up and I am thinking about giving it a try. I had a ton of West Marine epoxy left over after building a drift boat and have been using that with pretty good results.
  9. Well if If I am not mistaken this hasnt been brought up since 2003 so here goes. How are the larger companies doing this? Any new ideas since the last thread on this? Jerry, any new words of wisdom? I have failed in my latest attempts. It seems so simple yet the search function has turned up nothing. Are there any products that can handle the heat of the plastic that anyone knows of?
  10. You choose the color Richard. I am an easy man to please. My address is po box 1159, if sending us postal service or 656 spruce drive, if UPS or any other carrier Seeley Lake MT 59868

  11. This isnt mine, but its the first fish my son caught on his own hand made spinner bait and his own hand poured worm. It also just happened to be the largest pike pulled out of our local Lake so far this year. Hes 9 years old. Our local newspaper is writing an article on him next week. They just finished interviewing him for it today so I am one proud papa!!!!!
  12. Mark, It sounds to me like your going about this all wrong. The real problem here is your lures are spending way to much time in the sun! Put them babies in the water! Thats what you made them for isnt it? I would be willing to bet $100.00 right now if you put them in the water they would not turn yellow any more. Problem solved. Oh and another cool side affect to getting them wet is that you catch fish also. Anyways just thought I would give you some good ol Montana advice. Good luck. Shane P.S. This was for Mark Poulson. Just a joke not trying to take anything away from swing paints.
  13. Hey Spike, Maybe this one should be added to the tutorials???? Nice Paint job also. kinda Christmasy but yet neat in its own way.
  14. I have 3/4" thick weather stripping stuck in stips on my dash and in varrious other places all around my boat. When I switch spinner baits or in lines I just stick the hook into the foam strip and there it hangs till the next time I need it. The only drawback is I sound like Santa Claus when driving the boat at higher speeds. A lot of jinggling going on with mabey 100 various baits hanging around, but they are very accesable.
  15. I wouldnt be afraid for one second to purchase a mold from them. If you want to go and compare it to an aluminum mold then they dont compare but your not paying $80.00 and up for a mold either. Plus for a beginner pouring plastics you get the added advantage of watching how your pouring and the plastic is reacting to your pour in the mold. I went from making some pretty crappy pours to some my friends are begging me to make more for them in less than 2 hours. I could not have done that with an aluminunum mold. But they may not hold up to comercial pouring. I have not been doing it long enough to know.
  16. I missed out on the poll because its the busy time of year for me and I am not on here as much as I would like to be. But as I have said before, anything I can do to support this site is money well spent. Where else are you going to find this kind of knowledge and information. And am I missing something or is everyone complaining for no reason? The ones who choose not to pay are not getting kicked out, just losing a couple of little features. Big deal. Dont pay if it is not worth it to you. But you dont have to leave.
  17. Lurecraft page 49 in the catalogue.
  18. heres a link to the site Leboeuf is talking about. The Making of the "DOODADS"!!!! (LONG LONG POST!!!)

  21. Why knock off a knock off when you can knock off the real thing Rookie? Just dont try to pawn them off as the real deal and there should not be any problem.
  22. WOW! Another rattle can master. Thats it! My airbrush is going in the trash! I have obviously been going at this the wrong way. Very nice job Stone.
