I am a real picky person when it comes to customer service. It sounds as if this is out of his control completely which in my mind would not and should not reflect on his buiisiness especially if he is offering refunds on parts still not recieved. However communication is an absolute neccesity!!!! No excuses!!! No I have been really busy! No my long lost relative died. No nothing. Send an email, pick up the phone, something, anything, but let that customer know that they are important and you want them to come back. How long would it take to have sent an email a week or even every 2 weeks for the last 2 months as oppoosed to losing this customer and however many other customers who are now reading this thread. Word of mouth is everything people. Everyone with those little tackle buisinesses on the side out there pay attention. You do something to tick off the smallest customer and you have no idea what it can cost you in the long run.

No they dont have to be exact. Just preferably similar, or as close as I can get. I have gone through every catalogue and web site that I can think of and either theres not much there or else I am just looking past them. Closest thing I found was in Haggens. Cant think of exactly what model it was, I will look it up in the morning, but it was similar in shape But had 3 or 4 holes on the end for different tie possitions I believe, or for attaching beads, cant remember which.

Am I reading this right? 2 months? Any comunication since the backordered email?

I know I can still buy new painted ones. But thats no fun. The Kid wants to sit next to dad and Paint krocodiles, so guess what, The Kids going to get to paint Krocodiles.LOL:lol: Have to get him started right. He has yet to do any painting. just assembling. I will shoot ya off an email and see if we can work something out on any old beat up ones you want to get rid of. The bigger the better.

My 9 year old sons favorite pike lure is a good ol faithfull Krocodile. I am trying to locate some krocodile blanks or something real close to them so he can paint and assemble his own. Has anyone ran acrossed anything close to these anywhere? Or anyone have any ideas on something that would work?

Definately through wire. Im just not sure what thickness of wire. What size split ring and treble would you use?

After the fact probably is not good enough. As far as Perry having a liscense? Do you think Georgia was issuing state fishing liscenses then? I dont know but I would guess maybe not? I tried to find an answer, but it wasnt on the first 3 google searches I tried when it dawned on me that really does not matter to me whether he had one or not. Different times different rules. I guess if we can allow fishing without a liscense, then netting, poisoning, dynomite, draining a lake or pond is all ok right. In fact I think I will cram a few lead bars down the throat of my next Pike and submit that. It will be a monster!

I would think #2 could be handled simply by getting your scales certified. #3 can be identified through photos. So in my mind that just leaves #1. What a bummer if that is the way it turns out, but unfortunately I agree. We all pay our dues to fish. I know simply because of me manufacturing and selling tackle locally I make a greater effort to not break any fish and game rules. But it is really simple. You have to have a liscenes to fish. It wasnt his first time getting caught either. Anyone want to bet its the last time he ever fishes with no liscenes if that keeps it out of the record books. Still like I said before. No need to be discouraged. Pay the fine. Buy the license and get his but back out to that pond and get that monster again. He did it once, he can do it again.

I wasnt thinking duplicating with the intention of reselling or fooling anyone. I was thinking more along the lines of this guy obviously has a favorite bait, that is not made any more and he would like some more to fish with. Duplicating for personal use. Noones going to frown on that. Now if you go and start selling them as originals then I agree. Or even selling them period, you might run into problems.

Sure there is. He can go back like you said before and catch that monster again! No reason to discourage him. Still a damn nice fish and a bigger Bass than I will ever catch in my lifetime.

Ok my turn to open up another can of worms here. I was waiting for someone else to do it but since it hasnt been yet. I hope that the fact its catch and release is not the reason to keep it from being a state record. If it can be proven and verified. Then I see no reason the fish has to die. But... and heres the big but, if he was fishing with no liscense, then would that or should that not keep it out for that reason?

They are starting earlier than usual this year. This week she was saying her dad took her out behing the shed and taught her how to shoot. I believe that about as much as I believe the bosnian sniper story. Dang it Sonny! You got me started! Im done. No more politics and fishing for me.

I think he has his answer. I dont think any lure builder would touch that lure for anything. If you find one that does refinish it to your standards and it swims the same send me his name because he can work miracles. keep fishing it till it wont swim no more. You would probably be better off looking into reproducing it like vodkaman said.
