  1. I have been using them as a trailer on spinnerbaits. Working Awesome.
  2. I may be wrong but I think they are water based and thats a real bad idea.
  3. We have our own crazys here. Remember Tim Mcveigh. Its not an issolated problem. We just need to make it as hard as possible for these acts to be carried out within reason.
  4. Lops, make sure you are looking at your color in the right light. Somr of mine look different if not viewed in sunlight.
  5. I do not believe that the bags from GT Zip are considered laminated bags, but I can say the 4 mil do hold scent and oil. I know this goes against everything you all have said and most wont believe it, but I have used them, Pit bull obviously is using them, and Richard from 152nd st baits has used some of them. They do hold up. Maybe they are laminated. They dont advertise that they are so I assume they are not and refused to purchase them until I saw richards post saying they held. The labels can have a hard time sticking to them sometimes. That is a drawback. But I have found if you press your labels on a firm flat surface before you bag they tend to stay. Take this for what its worth.
  6. 4oz. Calhoun med 30 drops MF pumpkin 10 drops MF motoroil 1/4 ts Black Flake try that see what you think. We use that as a sculpin imitator here and have been told by some small mouth fisherman they think it would be a good color for gobies. They can varrie in color from different areas and bodies of water though so who knows.
  7. Cork is very easy to shape. You can probably build your own with very little work. Just a thought.
  8. I believe it is softener. Or at least part softener. but i could be wrong.
  9. Would like a reaper mold if ones still available
  10. Absolutely Do Not Paint Your Boat Before Epoxy Is Applied!!!!!!! I can not stress this enough. The epoxy is applied to strengthen the boat and has to bond directly to the wood. Also do not add anything to the epoxy to color it. You need to go to a boat building Forum. Here is a link to one that will answer all the questions you have for free. Montana Riverboats Driftboat Building Fly Tying History Photos and Tutorials I have built several boats and you need to follow specific directions or they will fail! I promise. I have seen it happen and it is dangerous. I watched a drift boat built by a friend come apart in some whitewater once and three people were almost killed. Thats what happens when you do things your own way instead of following directions. This site also has some great plans to build. I have built 3 boats of theirs and they are my favorites.
  11. Mark not looking for perfection, lol. Who you trying to fool here Mark? I have seen your lures. They are approaching just that.
  12. Mark, I am assuming the tails are poured plastic, same as what is used for the plastic baits. There is a special paint made for that. Its available now at either lurecraft or netcraft not sure which one. Bears baits will have it soon also i believe. Shane
  13. I have purchased several other bodies from him and liked them. I personally will be giving them a shot this winter when things slow down.
  14. Usually the mold is sealed with 50% elmers glue 50% water mix. Brush on several thin coats and let dry in between. This makes a pretty durable mold. Durable enough to withstand multiple pours of 350 degree plastic. Some have also used thinned epoxy to seal it.
  15. POP is plaster of paris. Very inexpensive. Picks up detail very well. And yes can be used to make a 2 piece hard bait mold although most tend to use RTV. I have made some in the past. You just have to take into consideration your material your making your bait out of and the pop tolerances.
  16. My guess would be Cinnamon w/ fucshia flk., violet neon stripes, cinnamon belly. I think i might have nailed this one. Just kidding.
  17. LOL Spoken like a true addict! you will like it Bob. The swim bait has a great tail action and the lil Jerk bait is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. But dont tell Bear yet OK. I am still bugging him about a new mold i want. I dont want him thinking im happy yet.
  18. I dont think it was scent that caused this. If the bubbles are appearing as a sort of foam look on the surface of the area you just poured and not in the bait, then yes I believe you overheated the plastic. If they are in the bait itself then they are either intrdoduced durring stirring or cooking somehow.
  19. Its not advisable to heat your plastic over an open flame! There are several posts on here of people starting fires by using this method for heating their plastic. I think I would take precautions based on their experiences and find another heating method.
  20. Yeah, dont mix it or use it on your Moms table cloth.
  21. I am not sure you could get better picts than what you took.. Well done!
  22. One piece 2 cavity Bobs frog mold. $30.00 shipped to your door. Mold is in great condition just have no use for it anymore. Paypal is best
  23. I have some laying around. I just tried to stretch one. The answer is no. The correct size one will not stretch over the guides and come back to shape. Like Matt said though I rarely use them. You can get you epoxxy to run right up on the cork to make a clean sloping transition. then do a wrap over it. Or if your cork is quality cork you can just run your thread wrap up to it and then epoxy over it and make the bevel. Its really pretty easy.
