  1. What's "spooky" is how good you are on your paint jobs. That is vary Nice.
  2. I though about spraying DN also, But after getting some, I found that just storing DN is a chore. I would hate to have some cure in my air brush. I would probley just throw that brush away. Just my 2 cents worth.
  3. Mark are you dipping or spraying. I'm on my 3rd dip and while it's wet, it's got a good shine to it. But after it drys it dulls out some. Are you getting a good clear shineand how long do you wait before you recoat?
  4. Ordered some sc 9000. Got it in today. It looks milky, is that right? or did I order the wrong stuff?
  5. Rayburnguy, I don't let my crackle dry all the way before I spray my top coat. I spray my top coat alittle heavier and grab my hairdryer. Be cureful with the hairdryer because it will leave bigger cracks then you may want. Hope this helps you out.
  6. Yes, I've done it hundreds of times. I use sand paper that is almost warn out. Sand the lure lightly being careful not to sand through the paint. Do your high lites and then clear. Hoper this helps.
  7. Rayburnguy, I had then shallow during this past cold snap. I build a fire on the bank and they came up on the bank to warm up.

  12. I used DN for the first time today. Can't believe how much EZ'er it is then D2T. Looks just as good or better and not as thick. The only thing is that I used a cheap brush. What Is a good brush for brushing on DN.

    Dn

Got my first free sample in yesterday. Order it last week, payed s/h on visa and had no problem. Can't wait to get in the shop and paint up some rattle baits and see how good they look. I've been a D2T man and D2T puts too thick of a clear coat on rattletraps for for me. From what I've read about d/n and from speaking to him personally over the phone this should do the trick. Thanks D/N
  14. I've used 70% rubbing alcohole to thin D2T with know probloms at all. Cheap also.
  15. I've have had no problem using the 2 together. Works fine for me. The only problem I have is shooting the pearl colors. Seens like there not thinned enough. I thin them down some and lower my air pressure, seems to help, but still have trouble. I have mixed pearl pigment with clear and made some good looking colors. Hope this helps.
  16. BobP. Before you paint your spoons, do you sand the bear metal, then paint and then clear coat with D/N? The reason I ask is because I've be painting spoons and having my paint jobs come off while fishing. (clearing with epoxy) I just ordered some D/N for the first time to clear coat hard baits and did not realize that this clear would help me with my spoons also.(I'm leaving some of the spoon bear metal for flash) Any advice is welcome to catch another fish LOL!!
  17. This is a crankbait I make last year. Maked out of balsa wood that I bought from Hobbie Lobbie. It weights in at 1 1/8 ounce and is six inchs long.(It's big as you can see for the mudbug) The color is Blue Gill. I put a glass rattle in for sound. On a long long cast with a 5.3:1 reel and 12 lb. test line, I can feel bottom at 17 feet, but not very long.

Thanks fatfingers I like throwing Mudbugs. Your right you got to hit something with them to get a bite. I cast long and reel like hell to get them down into big brush that we sink here in the lake. Don't catch as many but the ones I do catch are better fish.
