Hi all, It has been some time since my last visit here.. I hope you all had a good christmas. Here are some images of ESOX V2 ( I told you I couldnt leave it alone...lol). The action has improved dramatically..I hope to shoot some vid soon..when the ice strats to melt. Specs: 35 cm 220 grams slow -horizontal- sinking Made from solid resin, pressure casted. Pearlized airbrush paint. Microfiber fins, glass eyes, thick etex topcoat Let me know what you think! Grtz Jeep

    Some unfinished lures

    Beautiful work my friend!
  7. Yes, that is an option, although this will mean that the belly of the lure will be up and so while casting resin with mb added, the mb will float up while curing -> to the belly, and you want the mb to be in the backpart of the lure. Puzzles...
  8. Thnx husky! That is what I have done before; works great for single piece lures. But I want to use it on a swimbaits-head. And the weight already attached to the wireframe; so it is kinda important that the weight is dead center. Some kind of lock would be cool; maybe a simple bold will do...
  9. Hi guys, I am thinking of the best way to keep a wireframe with weight attached in place in a 2-part silicone mold? Not sure what would be best..thinking of screws..or magnets? Any ideas? Thnx! Jeep

    Lipped HardBass

Thnx Mr Fingers! Mark, I added the lip to make it go dive and reach the deeper water. The HardBass is a slow sinker, but when reeled or trolled it will run shallow eventually. The lip will keep it deep. I tried one before with a lexan lip epoxied into the body. Works good too. This one was intended as a very slow sinking one but I made a mistake and it floated..bummer..so I tried a lip on it, and the action was actually pretty cool. Grtz Jeep

  16. Hi guys, Here is some first underwater footage of my ''ESOX'' project filmed by my friend Todd. It gives a unique view and marks out what has to be improved. Im thinking of making it a bit longer and adding an extra joint in the tail, also the weighting has to be adjusted to get rid of the roll.. Let me know what you guys think! Thnx! JP
  17. great! lots of good stuff on the tube: watch this: Grtz
  18. I was afraid you were going to say that..lol. Thanks a lot guys, really appreciate it!
  19. Well it sure sounds like a very good idea, keep us informed on how it works out.I might want to try that out too! Grtz
  20. sure man, but that will be in the netherlands lol i bought 3m you need to find a specialised shop for electronics check before and after shrink diameter!
  21. Hi Ray, I only use my own 'blanks'. I make them myself. I made this first 'stencil' for the HardBass to paint on the stripes. Grtz Jeep
  22. Hi Ray, Yes I did. I bought some wide diameter transparent tube (3M - 55 mm). It was a bit of a challenge to find some. This stuff is fantastic! I just put a blank in the tube and used a paint stripper-gun to slowly heat the tube. It shrinks nice and tight. When it is cooled down you can cut it open and remove the blank, what is left is a perfect 'shell' of your blank. On the head and tail section I have some 'leftover' wich I heated almost to melting and then using a pair of pliers welded that together. carved the pattern with an xacto knife, and it is almost the same as the thick plastic sheets I usually use. I used the shell for 8 baits so far and I think it will last a long time. When you heat-set your paint with a hairdryer the shell will become a bit more soft and is easy to remove without damaging the new paintjob. I was thinking of better ways to make stencils and this is just that, thanks again! Grtz Jeep
