  1. If you are going to get a presto pot your gonna need more molds. ALOT MORE MOLDS! Those pots can crank out the plastic. I don't know ow many ounces you pour now but the pot will increase that by at least 8 to 10 times that much. Are you going to get one from mbroji or make it yourself?

    Newbie ;-)

Welcome to the underground. Lok forward to hearing your input on the questions that will come up. Zbass
  3. Was an awesome view 30 min. after sundown. Had the crescent moon as well.
  4. I had that happen a couple of times early on. Never really did figure it out except when I got a better heating system the problems stopped. It may be a case of it being too hot. I don't heat with a micro so I can't help you there. I add all my color, glitter, salt and scent after the plastic is up to temp. The plastic is still on the hot plate when I do that. Some guys add it before heating and swear by that method. Hope that helps.
  5. That poses a couple of questions. Are you trying to ventilate more area with the two fans than you are with the one fan? Also, What is the amp draw of the smaller fans compared to the larger fan? It is probably minimal, but two small ones would probably pull more amps than the single large one. Just a guess. Zbass
  6. Lowes, Menards, Home Depot, etc. Not sure if Wallyworld has it.

    Hello Guys

ruben, Welcome to the underground. Looks like some great fishing around you. I know there aer some guys drooling over that cat and the walleye. Great pics and look forward to seeing your jigs. Zbass
  8. Yes, I have had that happen before. The flake makes a big difference in colors. Some more than others of course. Try this, one drop of wht per ounce and then start adding flake of different colors and see what happens. It gave me all kinds of ideas for different colors without using much dye. Similar to what longhorn said. Flake makes a big part of the color your pouring. Zbass

  11. You may try a search to get the info you need or browse through the last couple of months posts. This has been discussed very recently.
  12. It sounds like you are on the right track. The only thing I might suggest is to let the plaster flow towards your master and that way it shouldn't have bubbles. Painting the bait with plaster first is a huge help. You may try to leave extra around the edges when you do this. Hope this helps. Zbass
  13. Jeremy, They look great!!! You'll be the next G.Y. before you know it. Curious as to how you made the masters? Zbass
  14. i have used the epoxy thinned out and have not had any issues. Read the labels and get the one with the highest temp rating. The one that I use is good for up to 250 deg F. No longer than the plastic is hot it seems to be holding up. Zbass
  15. What is your master made out of? That would make a difference in what you can use. Zbass
  16. A very small high temp spatula. The old manual method! Zbass

  18. Dubs, I use super glue on a ceramic tile. That is of course for one sided molds. The tile is a hard smooth surface and fairly cheap:yay:. Zbass
  19. Dubs, They look good for your first ones. what did you use to dip the tubes? Even two color! Good job dude!. Post some pics again when you get your other molds. You may try warming the molds to help with the cold cracks. Zbass
  20. Yes, the blades are angled slightly. I think that I may want a little more though. I also have a second set of paddles that have some holes in them. They are interchangable. The height of the paddles and the pot itself are also adjustable. I did that for cleaning and larger molds. Zbass P.S. Kajan, it still pales in comparison to your cadillac of a set up. I am still waiting for mine to arrive.
  21. Cobra hit it on the head. For smaller amounts the Lee's pot works well for about 6-8 oz. Have used both and both have their place. Zbass
