  1. The big fish was caught weightless. Pretty much deadsticking it. We catch fish every way possible with this thing. One of my buddy only fishes it carolina and does well. Another friend dropshots and catches a ton of fish. I fish it everyway, dropshot, carolina, texas, weightless, shaky head. I make them salted an non-salted depending on what they are used for.
  2. Everytime tubes come up someone says, "Talk to bojon. He has a great system with a dvd, etc". I will be that guy this time. Talk to bojon.
  3. Sorry. You are correct sir. I was thinking of del's pointy tail stick.
  4. They are more like the pro senkos. Much thinner than a regular senko. Yamamoto Pro Senko
  5. What would be a good way to make this color? I have red, brown, amber, green pumpkin, purples, etc. I just need to make some cinnamon for a friend. He has a tourney this weekend and I don't have time to wait for an order of colorant. Otherwise, I would order MF Cinnamon like you suggest. Jeremy
  6. Thanks for the info guys, but this stuff sounds like more headache than it's worth to me. I don't need anything to float to the top. I just wanted something to keep a bait supsended on a carolina, but the baits I make are working great without the floating aspect. Jeremy
  7. Thanks. I have seen that thread and video. Very good info. I like your idea about inserting another tube. It made me realize that I can also just fill the tube with plastic. Thanks for the reply. This should work perfect.
  8. Yeah. My partner and I always make stupid faces with our fish. That's just how we roll. Check out my signature link and you'll see his dumb face. haha
  9. Ok, so I guess I am staying away from additives. Any suggestions for a good floating plastic?
  10. I am in the process of designing a creature. I was thinking of cutting tubes and welding them to my creature instead of GY style skirts. Anyone tried this? I can see the benefits; cheaper, faster, no injection molding, etc. Can anyone tell me a downside? I know the GY style skirts are bulky, which I see as a good thing. I don't know if that is achievable with a tube. I haven't made tubes yet, so I haven't been able to experiment. Can you make tubes with salt with the dipping method? Seems like it would settle pretty fast.
  11. Yeah. I wish I would have seen bears before I purchased. I really like his. Haven't tried the LC yet. Tomorrow.
  12. I have read some posts where people say they add a floating component to the plastic. Is this stuff good? How does it affect the plastic (besides the floating aspect)? Where can I get this stuff? I don't see it on the sites I usually buy plastics from.
  13. Thanks. I just caught a 12.1lb bass on it a last week. Biggest bass ever for me. You can check it out in the trophy room.
  14. I just bought the new bottle. Can someone post a pic of each showing the difference?
  15. I just caught this giant (12.1 lbs) on my custom bait. Unbelievable!
  16. I just caught this giant (12.1 lbs) on my custom bait. Unbelievable!
  17. These are a little sloppy, but this is a custom bait that I designed. It is becoming pretty popular locally. I have not sold any. I usually give them away to fishermen/friends that like to use plastics. They have already caught a lot of fish.
  18. I don't have that problem with sticks, but I do have it when I pour baits with thinner appendages at the bottom. Make sure your plastic is very hot. Almost like water. Also, pour slower and right down the center. Make sure you are not hitting the edges of the mold. This should fix the problem.
  19. [insert Compliment Here] When are you guys going out? You will have to let us know how it goes. If the fish are biting, I am confident that you will catch on that. As for the jighead/hook idea; you can try attaching another 8/0 to the first hook with a wire leader and using it like a trailer hook. just bury it in the back of the bait. Similar to this:
  20. I use a rounded edge battle hatchet. Very sharp. It works awesome. I was thinking of getting a cigar cutter before I discovered the hatchet. One that has the 2 blades. That should work nicely.
  21. Thanks. I just received an email that the stuff arrived.
  22. That is pretty much it. I am really into aluminum molds because of the detail, so I haven't bought or made anything for this type of bait. I also like how the head is hollow on the Paca.
  23. Awesome. Good to hear. I might have to try a small bottle. I know I talked to you about purchasing the 5 gallons of Calhoun, but I might need to try this stuff first.
  24. Does the de-aired plastic float? I assume it wouldn't if all of the air has been taken out of it. I am more interested in action than easy pouring. If it floats, I will have to check it out. So far I have only use Calhoun and I am very pleased with the softness and durability of the final product.
