  1. Haha. You outbid me on that mold. I got the rest of them (worm molds). I really like them. The material that the mold is made from is great. It has excellent detail and pours awesome.
  2. What is the article called? Their search doesn't seem to be working.
  3. Thanks for the nice comments guys. I have been out for a few days and it was nice to see when I got back.
  4. I actually designed the bait on the computer and had some aluminum mold created. I haven't spent a lot of time pouring them yet, so I am getting some hollow tops, but I will get it down. These are cut sloppy, but you guys can get the idea.
  5. This is my first attempt at pouring my custom bait. I am pretty proud of it. They work great for any application; dropshot, carolina, texas, shakey head, weightless, trailers... Pretty much anything that you can think of. -Jeremy
  6. I haven't had a chance to get back to this yet. If I can't get it to pour, I am thinking of using a syringe. Pour half of the mold, modify the syringe to cover the whole and use air to push the plastic down. It seems like it should work OK in my head.
  7. I have only tried poring it once. They are aluminum. The guy that made them said he never had the problem. He was using a heat gun and pouring at 350 deg. I usually don't take temp of my plastic before I pour. I am going to try that before I decide if I need an injector. I think I should be able to make it work. They come out good 30% of the time so it could just be human error. I will post a pic when if I am still having the problem. All of my stuff is kept in a friends garage.
  8. From what I have read on here I am very wary of using one of these. I got a new custom mold and I think I may have to start using an injector to get the whole mold to fill out. Any tips on how to use these safely? -Jeremy
  9. Are you guys securing the pot to you stand some how? I am days away from building mine (out of wood). I just want to take all of the precautions to avoid a lap full of plastic. -Jeremy
  10. Can you add a switch, like a light dimmer, and make the motor variable? That way you can run it at a lower RPM if it is not necessary to keep it at full power. -Jeremy
  11. I am looking for something like these: Nichols Texas Craws NetBait Paca Craw Yum Craw Papi They are all pretty similar. Any of them will be fine. The first pic on the Craw Papi is weird. The claws should be closer together like the other pics.
  12. Here is some good info on the matter: Small business - Trademark Protection - How to Trademark Your Name - USPTO Stopfakes.gov They even have a database that you can search and make sure it is not trademarked already.
  13. I have only used aluminum, but it seems like these resin molds have great detail. I know a bunch of you make them. I wanted to try them out. Let me know if you have any. I don't have any craw molds yet, so if you have any for sale I would like to check them out. -Jeremy
  14. Thanks Mike. That is the motor I purchased. It should be here next week. I have to go to Home Depot this week to pick up a nipple for the pot. I got the wrong size (3/8"), I guess I need a 1/4". I will pick up the rest of the stuff then. Thanks.
  15. Yeah. I know the stirrer is the key. I ordered the motor, but I just need something until I can build it. Thanks. I will go with the silicone for the meantime.
  16. Depending on how elaborate you want them to be you can use this site. I am a graphic designer and have used them for clients. They do quality work at a decent price. Sticker Printing | Jakprints, Inc
  17. This is my first (and so far only) multi-color pour. These are from a while ago, but I just became a member and I wanted to start my gallery.
  18. I am receiving my Presto Pot from Ozark today. I haven't had time to order/build the motorized stirrer yet. Just wondering what you all use to stir in the meantime. -Jeremy
  19. I use to use sandwich bags. Now I buy the poly bags from lurecraft.com or any of the others. They are way better than sandwich bags. Also, these are pretty cool if you want to take them on trips. Bass Pro Shops Tackle Binder or Replacement Pages
  20. Not yet. Still waiting to receive the molds I am going to try it on. They will be here this week. I will let you know once I get it done. I will post pics and results when I get it done later this week.
  21. I have been trying different brands of colors and I have found some brands that I like better than others. I know most people use multiple brands and need them for different reasons, but what makes up the bulk of your colors?
  22. Thanks for the warning. I am going to test on just 1 cavity. Only about 1/16" deep 1/8" wide.
  23. The bait looks great. I really like the colors too. Are you using an aluminum mold? If so, who cut it for you?
  24. Thanks Del. The part I am using it on is very thin (.038"). This looks like it will work perfectly. I am going to put like 3 notches in a divider so the seperated pieces with be joined together. This way they can be fished connected or easily pulled apart.
