  1. Yeah. I noticed that Owner makes the hooks to fit the mold. I am pretty loyal to Gamakatsu, but it looks like the don't have what I need.
  2. Yeah. It needs black, or pumpkin seed. Looks like it needs to be darker. Almost on the orange in the photo. Where did you get that mold? It doesn't look like Dels frog?
  3. It is a do-it mold. No inserts necessay. I haven't don't want to purchase until I find someone to help me. Hook size 6 or 8. I want to used them as wacky jig. They recomment eagle claw, but I prefer Gamakatsu. I don't know if they make a hook for this jig in that size. I am looking.
  4. I am looking for someone that is pouring jigheads. I am sure a lot of you guys pour your own weights. I found a mold that I want to have some jigheads made from, but I don't have a workstation to do it. Let me know if any of you are interested in helping me out and we can workout some kind of deal.
  5. What if you are using Dels colors? Is the dropper the same? For some reason I feel like I need to use about 2x the color that I read in the recipes to get the results I am looking for. I haven't tried this one, but from my experience so far, 5 drops for 8oz plastic would be way too light.
  6. That is what I saw. It looks like a really candy red w/ black flake. Color is zm-18 or 18 on this photo.
  7. Yeah. I read that on Dels Forum earlier. Thanks for the compliments guys. It is not exactly the color I was going for, but I am happy with it. It really was just suppose to be a test to see how the colors bond. My next multi will be more contrasting just so I can get a better view of how they are coming together.
  8. You guys rock. Thanks for all of the advice. I do stir between pours. I will try letting the baits air out for a couple of days too. I will take everyones advice into my next pour. I will let you know soon.
  9. Here are the photos. First attempt at multi-colors. This is my third time pouring worms. Has a little more flake than I wanted, but I can live with it. Color is: Watermellon, red flk (top) : Dark green (bottom) I did my best with what I have. 3 color and 2 flakes. I have orders in for more.
  10. Will do. Thanks guys. If it weren't for this site, I would be pulling my hair out.
  11. I am using a darker color. I will take your word for it. I guess I will have to cut it down to 20 sec intervals. Thanks. I will let you know if I still have the issue.
  12. I cook with color. I haven't seen that color. I do get a smell, but it is just a fumey plastic smell (almost like a new stack of recordable CDs).
  13. Really? I cook 1 min, then 30 sec intervals (1-2) until it is like a thin syrup. That is with no salt. But, I am not putting a dropper full of scent for 4oz of plastic. Not even close to that.
  14. Thanks for the info. When I get my 2-part molds I may PM you.
  15. I made my first multi-color pour last night. I think they came out really nice. Heating the mold on my stove, while pouring, really gave it a nice blend. The only issue is, it took about 5 times longer to cool. I tried to take some pictures, but I can't seem to find my cable for it. When I find it I will post. I put a little more flake than I wanted, but I can live with it. Color is: Watermellon, red flk (top) : Dark green (bottom) I did my best with what I have. 3 color and 2 flakes. I have orders in for more.
  16. I can't seem to get rid of the plastic smell. I am using Calhoun plastic from Del. I am using Upper Hand scent, which I hear is one of the best. I added about 6 drops to 4oz prior to cooking. I also added it after cooking and in the bag once the worms were done. Still smells like plastic. I am confused. I am adding way more scent than I have read is necessary in this forum and plastic scent is still prominent.
  17. Well, that's my setup. Do you mind elaborating? Do you cook the cups at the same time? I assume that you have to. I think keeping the mold hot on a burner (lmk if this is unsafe) should give me more time to pour multi-colors and still give them a nice blend.
  18. So, 2 microwaves and hotplates are needed? I really need a garage. I am doing this out of my apartment. Do you put the glass measuring cup directly on the hotplate to keep the plastic hot after microwaving? Is that its purpose? Does anyone have a template online for the divider to create a divided cup (8oz Anchor)? I know how to make one, but I don't have a saw to cut the POP in half. Yeah. A thread like that would really help out new people and evolve the whole process, but it seems like a lot of people on here have trade secrets that want to keep. I agree. Seeing is better than reading. I am a very fast and visual learner. Any other help (from anyone)?
  19. On the topic of multi-color pours: Noob here. I have poured about 100 5.5" dropshot worms (one color). I am pretty confident at that level. I want to move on to multi-color pours. Can you do multi-colors with a microwave, or is that not ideal? The only way I can see it working is if you heat both plastics at the same time. When pouring the plastic, do you pour all of the cavities with one color, then go back with the other color? Or, do you pour the colors right on top of each other, one cavity at a time? I have a glass-top stove where I am pouring. I was thinking of using one of the burners to keep the mold hot while doing the multi-colors. Has anyone tried this? I am purchasing a couple of 2-part molds from Del shortly. But I want to get the basics down first. I will be building a divided cup for pouring the 2-parts. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I have viewed a lot of your galleries and they spawn a lot of questions and excitement.
  20. OK. I was going to retract my post after I saw the price too. I read the amount for the single tubes the first time I looked at it.
  21. Check this out. I wonder how it will work for plastic. I have never dipped tubes, but I forsee myself trying it in the future. I will start with a can, but for all of you mass dippers it might be worth a looks. The fact that it uses hot water might be a very bad thing though. Seven Tube Dipping Tank
  22. Thanks everyone. I think I knew that, just wanted to confirm. I think I will have some interesting baits in the future for you guys to see. Thanks again for the help.
  23. I am new to pouring. Probably done 100 worms. I am having issues with the flakes settling to the bottom. The first worms seem to have little to no flake. When I get to the end of my plastic they have too much flake. Do I need to stir more between pours? Am I heating the plastic too much?
  24. How many drops do you cook into the bait. What flavors work best for you guys?
  25. Ignore my last comment. I looked around online and found the problem. Turns out photobucket.com was set to mobile on this computer.
