I have a friend that supplies wood for me to make crankbaits out of and he is retired from the Army. So to show my appreciation I was gonna make a crankbait and paint it for him for a display. I was planning on it having his name and U.S. Army Retired on it somehow, a lot like the one seen here: " http://www.bateycustomlures.net/Pictures/viewphoto.asp?id=539 " . Anybody out there know how to do this? Thanks for any help

Anybody got the "recipe" for the Bomber rootbeer color? I use Createx paint and I just can't seem to get the right mix of colors.

Anyone catch "World's Greatest Fishing Show" a couple of weeks ago? It was the last show of the season and he was using some kind of flat sided balsa crankbait. I was wondering if anyone knew what brand that crankbait was? Strike King makes the closest looking one I found, but it still isn't exact.

Im having a hard time putting clear coat on swimbaits like the Sebile and other jointed baits and without getting clear coat up in the joints and destroying the lure. How do you guys "clear" swimbaits and jointed jures so that they still work when they dry?

Thanks for the help. I didnt think it would be that much trouble, but the rods I have that are broke aint worth that kind of trouble lol thanks

Can someone walk throught the steps on how to fix a rod that has been broken between the tip and the first or second eyes from the tip? Thanks

I have looked everywhere for the right size scale net for painting scales and just can't find the perfect size! I bought both sizes that Jann's Netcraft has and the small size was too small and the big size was too big! I bought a roll of toule (wedding veil material) off the internet and it was way too small. I went to a fabric store and got what I thought was the right size but turns out it was the same size as the bigger net I got from Janns. Please give me a link of where I can buy the right size, PLEASE!!! Thanks!

Im looking to buy a new gravity feed airbrush specifically an Iwata, but i was wondering which model handled Createx paint the best? I was looking at three different models: Revolution CR, Eclipse HP-CS, and the HP-C Plus. I read a review a guy wrote that said that it was hard to get the Eclipse HP-CS to spray Createx paint consistently. I need an airbrush that will spray Createx because thats all I use. Which is best suitable for Createx? Thanks

Lincoya, Im located in Piedmont (just west of Gadsden)......Thought I'd put a picture of a few I'm working on. One on far right is balsa, one in middle is oak, one on left is cedar. All have circuit board lips. What do you guys think?

Janns Netcraft has a unpainted crankbait body that looks a lot like some sort of Lucky Craft. Its called "2 1/4" Slim MD Crank". I was going to order some but it seems they are out of stock and have been for a long time! I was wondering if anybody knew where I could get these somewhere else?
