  1. You would need to know if your trying to match a white shrimp, or brown shrimp, sea bob, or I think on East coast der is a Pink shrimp.
  2. Look at this one Charging Batteries as you use them

Looks nice, you did nice job with mold. That would make a nice Coastal salt water lure. How thick is it?
  5. I pour coastal saltwater lures, not quite same as offshore. But for offshore here you need to have transparent flo Chart. with large silver glitter, and add some green hi lite powder, or a green to the chart., Glow, Clear with large silver glitter, and I would pour Watermelon with large red glitter, and I am sure white is always a good colour to have on hand, also I would pour some smokes up with silver or any colour glitters.
  6. Bears RTV molds, there is a small shad swim lure. Very nice lure, I use it, and it pours easy. Makes excellent lure. Bears Baits

Welcome, have fun, and wow, you chasin some big pwesons'
  8. Ma' you might wanna try www.bearsbaits.com, he has Methiolate also, not sure if its an exact match, but you can take a look see
  9. Jim, when you pour that mold, the shrinkage of the plastic allows for a slight hook slot on top, so the tip of hook is below the top plane of the lure. Easy mold to pour by the way, even for a beginner. Excellent for lams and mixed colour pours. I beleive the last pic has a ruler near lure Login This one shows some others An Error Has Occurred!

  11. Well Bear has a RTV one pc frog mold, it will not flip or roll. Is large size frog and is easy to pour. Catchs fish also. I tested it with a 5/0 Gama hook and it casts far and works very well. bears Baits Molds

I would recommend you getting a presto pot, if you have the tools, ( drill, drill bit of correct size, smallest that works is 9/16",and tap for 3/8" nipple). You can build the pot your self, and then order a stirring system from Bear. If you don't have the tools, you will have trouble building the set up for price Bear sells his pots. Do searchs and compare. But pots do pour well and are easy to use and clean up. Modified Presto Pots
  13. Only prob I could see is the wind could play a big factor in being able to pour a small stream, you will see what I mean
  14. I used a propane burner for years, never had a problem. But stiring is pain in de' butt! I have since moved up to the presto pots with stirrers, I would suggest you check out www.bearsbaits.com and look at his pots. If you get a pot let me know, I can give you some suggestions how to eliminate some of the fumes, dat and respirator you should be in bon' shape
  15. Not sure, never ordered from Del, used to use MF, then Bear at www.bearsbaits.com started distributing Calhouns so I tried it and liked it.
  16. I have to ask de' question, why not just stick with the presto, non stick and all?
  17. Ma' dats some beautiful lures for sure I never did fish any of those for coastal fishing around here, I understand the reason for the hollow part (softer bait, easier hookset) anyways what I think its for LOL, does that lure actually float with a hook?
  18. I am not gona knock any plastic, they are all good prob. Problem I had with MF is the plastic splits where the hook comes thru the lure and it is very slippery plastic, why it comes out of the mold with ease. Ma' if you want to use the MF, might wanna try the med and add some hardner but the SW is not the best choice using straight up for coastal saltwater lures in my opinion. Maybe in real large offshore baits it might be good, but maybe you should get some of all the brands and find out for your self
  19. I just tried some today for the first time. All I can say is WOW!!! If someone can't pour with this stuff, they need to give up trying to pour plastic. With a pot you can pour a 1/8" opening in a one pc mold.

Welcome, bou'cou' info on here and many good people
  21. I used to use MF's Saltwater. I found it would split easy. I have since went to Bears' Calhouns plastic in Med and I add slight ammount of hardner and I like the feel. I find the calhouns holds the hook better does not slip off, one problem I also had with the MF. You can go to www.bearsbaits.com and check out his prices for Calhouns. Someone else might come in and give you their 2 cents worth, but not many saltwater fishermen here LOL.
  22. Looks bon' Yea, I never used less than 2 cups
