  1. Lowes has the Locktite 60 min stuff but it looked too yellow.
  2. No hobby shop. Just a Wal-Mart and a Lowes.
  3. I'm out of D2T and nobody near me sells it since Wal-Mart quit. What can I go buy, say at Lowes, to coat some lures that I need to coat today? I brush it on and I don't have a lure turner. I ordered DN but it won't be in for a week. I do have this stuff called Max Seal. Says it's a water-based, Polyurathane Hybrid Clear Coat. Never used it and never intended to for lures. Would it work at all?
  4. Selling a brand new Do-It Spinnerbait mold. Still in package, never been used. Model# Style H Spinner Jig SJ-3H-SA $25 PayPal.
  5. About to make an order and was thinking I would use whine bottles and use airtight stoppers to keep any air out. Thinking I would order some of these http://www.cigarextras.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=361 . Any reason this wouldn't work?
  6. I want one, I just don't know where to get one.
  7. I use automotive paints and I spray my clear coat, so keep that in mind. I was told by a maker of spray booths that I would need a fan that was capable of doing 750 cfm. Where can I find a fan/blower for this? Also what filter material do you guys use in your booth?
  8. I've read a lot over that past few months about spray booths and I just moved so I have to get one made because I'm in an apartment now. I think I'm going to make a smaller version of this: http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/hard-baits/12239-new-paint-booth.html Here is where I'll be putting it: And the distance to the window: Here is the opening in the window that I will be putting the hose through: I do use automotive paints and I spray my clear coat, so keep that in mind. I'm going to use plywood for the box and that's really the only components I know what I need for sure. What do I use for the filter that goes over the open hole in the booth? What type of hose do you recommend? Finally, and my biggest question. What fan do I use? I have searched forever for a fan. I don't want to spend hundreds on a fan. I know it needs to have the motor on the outside of the fan. Do you have any links to a fan that would work? As you can see in the pictures the hose will need to be about 6' long and will have two elbows in it. Thanks
  9. This video may have been posted before but what is this machine? I'm guessing it's custom made. Does anyone know where I can get one made or any info on it? Sure would save a lot of time. Thanks.
  10. Thanks. I mixed some today but it still didn't look right. I'll check them out.
  11. I can't find a light yellow paint anywhere. I use HOK most of the time but they don't have the yellow I want. I don't care what brand it is. I just want some light yellow. A light yellow like this:

    Safe spray booth?

    How much was that setup?

    Safe spray booth?

Ok, after spending the evening reading I guess I need some kind of furnace fan? Where would I get one of these? I've looked on the internet but can't seem to find one. Also if I was to use 6" tubing and the tubing was about 6 feet what rating should the fan have? Thanks

    Safe spray booth?

Does it matter what kind of fan I use? I currently have several box fans. Are they no good? If I can't use that fan can someone suggest an affordable fan that is safe? Thanks. Thanks for the PM also. I appreciate it.
  15. I'm moving in the next couple weeks and need advice to keep my spraying safe. I have basically been spraying outside, setting up at the garage door with it open. Anyways I'm now moving to an apartment and will have a room setup just for painting. For the most part I am spraying HOK paints. What are your suggestions for keeping it safe. I will be setting up in front of a window that is level with my table. I guess I need to build some kind of booth and get a fan to go in front of the window. I was just reading a few posts and now I'm worried about a fire, so what fan do I have to get?
  16. Oh, well that all makes sense. I'm new to learning all the epoxies and I really appreciate your help. I'm going to give that Nu-Lustre a try before I go to a spray. Thanks for your help.
  17. I think that a sprayed version would be more durable then a brush or dip on. I know that you need to thin it a little but you get thinner coats that dry better and you can add as many as you want. I was talking to someone the other day that epoxies floors. He was talking about how important it was to get the coats as thin as possible because the top will dry and the middle won't ever dry if it is too thick. The thinner the coats the harder the finish. I just don't feel I can get them thin enough when brushing. I haven't tried your method with the new stuff you were talking about in a post I read the other day but to me I think it would be easier to spray in just about every facet.
  18. Hey man I appreciate it, I'm scared of all that stuff. I wear the mask, plus the ventilation, and I do it outside when nature allows. But I'm just sick of devcon and really want to go with a spray. So you would prefer an automotive clear over DN? I have heard some people use it for high end customers (pros). If it's good enough for them then it's good enough for me.
  19. I know how to use an airbrush and how to clean it. I also have a good ventilation system. I would just like to know what size anybody uses.
  20. For you that spray DN or any other clear coat. What size needle are you working with. I currently use a Iwata Eclipse HP-CS with a .35 needle to paint my baits. Will that size work or do I need to change. I don't want to ruin the one I have so I may get a cheaper one just to spray the clear coat.
  21. I use Devcon and like it but would like to start spraying the cleat coat. What is your favorite clear coat brand to spray? I have read about DN and may give it a try. I just got a new Iwata Eclipse HP-CS and don't want to ruin it so should I just get a single action airbursh instead for the clear coat? I'm sure this has been asked but I can't find a thread on just spraying, please just point me in the direction of that thread if so. Thanks
  22. Does anyone know of any mold out there like the Berkley football jig and Picasso's? Where the line tie is recessed? Thanks
