  4. my neighbor liked the natual wood and didnt want me to paint it lol so i just painted some eyes and added hooks... doesnt swim the greatest but it has an "injured" wobble to it i am proud to call it mine... plus if you slightly jerk it, it looks cool one pic is before paint the other of course is after i want to learn how to do the foil and the photofinish

    thanks, i will look into that its epoxyed and i am dying to test it!!! also i am looking into getting a air brush gun ((hopefully)) i am thinking a bass or a bream pattern for my first paint job going to try to post a pic tomorrow

    let me guess you say cray fish? lol i have always called them crawdaddies thanks about the shed i love it in here (i bring my laptop with me) its full of all types of stuff from snake skins to Civil War and World War artifacts to old farm tools, its redneck paradise:teef: the wood stove is great in the winter too

    thanks yall dont know how happy that makes me lol i got the line tie and hangers epoxyed in today now i need to put in the weight, all walmart had was worm sinkers, i think i can make them work though found out that lexan is kindof pricey but its not too bad, home depot doesnt carry any thin enough, i am going to check on lowes next, hopefully they might have it... thanks everyone for your help and input

    i am sooo happy!!!! i got a rotisserie (the "set it and forget it" kind) for $5 at a thrift store and it WORKS!!!! now i have to finish sanding my lures and get started:)

    these are my first blanks, so far this is all i have done but i am proud of them lol i made the line tie and hanger thingys last night and i am working on getting the right kindof weights btw this is not my pattern its borrowed... dont laugh too hard at my momentous progress

    someone familar! lol yea i have found that out about the "e" word just kidding i am loving all the advise, its very helpful and about the lure turner, i have a motor just dont know exactly where it is, i think my neighbors shed (but its ok cause i have their scroll saw at our shed:whistle:) and believe me i want to trust them soo bad lol i need all the help i can get

    not exactly sure on which type yet, a lipless flat side crank is what i am looking into maybe like a RatLTrap? i am a bass fisher so anything that will catch them will make me happy

    hi yall, i decided the other day that i wanted to try to make my own fishing lures and was told this would be the best site for help not planning to put too much money in this as i dont know if i will be any good i have a scroll saw and acrylic paint and some paint brushes and thats about it... working on plans for a cheep and easy lure turner (i am going to see if an old Microwave i have still works and use that motor) on my list of things to get is 1/2" poplar wood, devcon 2ton epoxy and eyelets what else is needed to start?
