  1. I have ordered the blank your talking about from Dinger before, they are great blanks. He sells good blanks.
  2. 21xdc, that's a vry good idea, I think I'll try that on some off my molds that I drilled out a little too much. Thanks for sharing
  3. Thanks Mark, I will give Baitjunky's glitter a try.
  4. When I have most of my trouble with fading glitter, is on the reheats. I try not to get the plastic too hot but heating the plastic over and over, and it will bleed.
  5. Great job. Good looking tubes too by the way. I can never get my purple glitter to stand out like yours. Mine always fades.
  6. I buy from both, but never had any problems with either.
  7. I think like Smalljaw, guess I'm old school too. The propane torch is the easiest for me. A bottle of propane will do a ton of jigs.
  8. Welcome to the forum RodW.
  9. I use a Badger 150, that has a .5 needle, and it works good for spraying soft plastics.
  10. I use bar magnets that you can hang your tools on, You have to watch out which ones you buy. Some will advertise that they are strong but won't even hold a screw driver , with out it falling off. You can buy them 12 inches to 36 inch, they are great for holding jigs after you powder paint them. It would be better if I didn't have to remove them from the magnet ,just slide magnet and all in the oven but, even the 12 inch one will not fit in my oven. If you get the really strong magnets they are really handy for hanging jigs on. I also hang crankbaits , spinnerbaits and buzzbaits on them. They really come in handy.
  11. Walking Dead ,I have bought a lot of powder paint from Columbia before and had no trouble with most colors . But the mirror black is the only one that I have trouble with it chipping really easily. I love the beautiful shinny color it makes. I will try what Smalljaw suggested, mixing clear coat in with it, Maybe that will solve the problem. Thanks to both of you, for your sugesstions.
  12. I do as Mark does, I use a cordless drill and an 1/8 inch drill bit. Works great.

    Heads Up

Just thought I'd mention Harbor Freight has there 2 setting heat guns for 7.99 right now. They seem to last as long as the other brands that I've had.
  14. Since I started using the ones from fishingskirts .com , I don't even use any of the ones I bought else where. I need to use them up, or sell them, one.
  15. You made a good choice with the snootie jig mold. It is a great mold . The jigs are great all around jigs, they work well in a lot of different applications. Probably my favorite jig mold, and I have a lot of jig molds.
  16. I use a cloth rag to back flush with my Badgers.
  17. There are some very smart people on this forum, I love to see what you come up with. Great work guys.
  18. I too, use the FS brand , and like them a lot better than any other I have used.. I hate to mess with the fuzz.
  19. I have this mold, and no complaints. It shots very easy, and makes a good bait. The action is very good. Hope this helps Bassinfool,. Merry Christmas.
  20. Welcome to the TU forum. Beer and Bass,, as you already know, they are a great group of people.
  21. I used worm oil on every bait, You could probably get by with every other bait, but it also makes the bait have a little shine to it. If you don't use the oil, they will stick a little and maybe pull off an appendage, or stretch the bait getting it out of the mold. Also they will be dull looking. I have not gotten both side by side, but I'm pretty sure they are the same. they have a good action.
  22. Baitmolds.com does make the larger one too. Or they did a few months ago, because I bought 2 of them. They are decent molds for the money.
  23. Thanks, GrinStone Lures and Stretcher66, I guess your right about getting what you pay for, just wanted to no if there was any other places to look, to try to save a little on those very small lures. I know that the small lures in most retail places are as much sometimes as the larger ones, but you know there is not near the material in on of the .5s as there are in the 1.5s and 2.5s.
  24. I hate it when companies drop there amount, in there containers, and make you think there prices are still the same as have been for some time. I always feel like. Iv'e been burnt, when that happens. I no that all companies do it, but it don't make you feel any better about it.
