    IMG 1169 skitter pop,

I agree on the 150 Badger, I now own 3 of them. Can't pass one up when I see one on ebay for a steal. I had the pressure turned way down on the Splatter max . Think I may have had the paint a little thin. Sure appreciate any help on painting baits. I have been doing it a while, but seem to not be improving very fast.I sure love doing it though.
  2. Where is the best place to get .5 blank square bill crankbaits? Iv'e been paying 1.90 each for them, They are a good quality, but trying to find good crankbait for a little less. Is there anywhere that sells good .5's for less?
  3. I have both 702 and 706, and the 702 is by far the best craw mold I have ever used. JMHO.
  4. I like it. Wish mine was more organized. I straighten it up, and in no time ,Iv'e destroyed it again.

Yes, I did, it seemed about 4 inches was the best for me. Actually there wasn't alot of difference, until It got to about 6 inches.I was using a 150 Badger, for this .

    IMG 1169 skitter pop,

Have been trying to learn how to make a decent splatter back, paint job. I said I would post a picture, when I finally made one that was decent. So this is it. Thanks for the help guys, with out your help I would still be scratching my head. Saugerman
  8. Thanks for all the suggestions on ways to develop this technique. I tried them all, and finally was able to get a descent effect with the straw over the end of the brush. All the ways work, but this just seemed the one I could do with the most similar results. I will post some pictures soon, thanks again for each reply.
  9. Really nice fish, I'm jealous. Congrats.
  10. I use the LC sweet potatoe, does a good job. But that orange, dirtied up looks good too. They look very similar.
  11. Thank all of you for your replies. I am going to try them all, to see which works best for me. I thought it would be a piece of cake doing this. I have been painting for a while now, but just couldn;t seem to get the hang of it. You members are the best,. I love this forum. Thanks again.
  12. I would like to know, the best way to get a good splatterback effect on my hardbaits. Iv'e read about how one person used the air brush to make his, but I can't seem to make my Badger paint brush make the effect. I would like to here how many of you paint yours. I'm sure there are many ways to make this effect. I also heard of using a tooth brush. Sure would like to see what most of you do, for this. Thanks in advance.
  13. I'm afraid you can't, never heard of anyone doing it, but thought there may have been a new transducer that might work.
  14. Has any one tried to use a shoot through the hull transducer on an aluminum boat, with any sucsess?
  15. I am sorry to see that you are not able to continue with your bait making. I wish you the very best. You will be missed around here. Hope you will visit when you are able.
  16. I have both molds, but for me it's the 702 hands down. Just a matter of personal prefference.
  17. I have 4 of the Baitmolds.com molds. They are pretty good molds. If you lubricate them you will get a shinnier finish. I just brush them with worm oil.
  18. The 702 is a great bait.
  19. Brake fluid will strip the paint off. Don't know about a chrome lure, but have left lures in brake fluid for 48 hours and it did not hurt the plastic lure at all. You can just wipe it off. It did a good job. I had to add some weight to the floaters, to keep it under the liquid.
  20. The 702 crawl, is my favorite mold I own, It shoots great, and boy does it produce fish.
  21. Don"t no what your looking for, but the colors look great to me.
  22. I like the Baitjunckys plastics, been very happy with it. I also like there molds, and other products.
  23. Thanks for the help, I will get there eventualy. Just need to play with it a little more.
  24. I have bought a few from them, I have no complaints.
  25. Does any one have a good recipe for root beer? I believe some place offers the color now, but I need some now. Trying to figure if you use brorn with some red added, just really need some one to get me heading the right direction. I haven't seen it in any of the cookbooks.
