Thats a deadly looking set up you have bro! Not sure weather to make one or two piece moulds.. I will mainly be making shads and stick type baits for sea fishing, what do you think I will need to do? Once the mould has set how do you get the blank out of the mould? do you cut it and make a two piece mould or do you just tweek it out and have a one piece mould.. this is all great stuff haven't been this interested in anything in ages, like I say soft baits are only taking off here, I have fished then for a couple of years now and know how deadly they can be, so the thought of making my own customs baits has huge appeal... Can you also use silicone to cast custom jigs heads from led?

Lads im a bit lost just trying to find out how you get your blank out of the mould once you have cast it. Do you just kind of winkle it :whistle:out of the mould. Im a bit unsure of the process so if someone could explain or point me to some info that would be great...

Hi guys, I am just getting started with the whole idea of poutring my own plastic baits. I am from Ireland where these baits are not even widely available yet and have been ordering mine of the net for a number of years now. I am a sea bass fisherman and therefore am interested particularly in shads and other swin or stick baits.. Am I better to make my own moulds from RTV silicone or to buy ready made moulds in aluminium! If so where can I source these moulds for small shad type baits, and stick baits also in a 3inch range! Also where do you guys source your materials from any links advice will be grea:worship:tly appreciated.. Thanks Patrick
