    8" Top Water Tsunaga

Yes they are all resin based based.
  3. Thanks Mark... I painted it for a friend and customer. I am going to have to make one for myself... seeing HBC is coming up in my back yard!
  4. Thanks guys! It's a Palm size bait, about 7" long and 4" tall... Life size Croppie... I have a three piece wake bait version, this four piece wake - twitch bait, and just finished a closed mouth swimmer in the same size range. It's a BIG SLAB bait!

    New 8" Clone Trout!

Thanks Bob. The eyes are indeed Glass. I actually just measured it, and it is 9" from line tie to tip of tail fibbers! I will get some video of it soon, as I lent my head cam to a friend that went to Willow Beach!
  9. IMHO - the rat bait is very cool. I like the detail you added with the look of the hairs! As to your swimming issues. I would create a larger gap, between the two pieces, and make the V in the back section wider. Think of a really well rounded, baby got back butt! As far as the lip goes......Keep the lip barely angled towards the front, and you may want to try the line tie in center of lip! Just my observations after looking at your pictures!

    7" Gizzo Clone

Here is a recent customer bait that went out the door recently! You can see the underwater action of this bait in the video attached link! Cheers!

    New 8" Clone Trout!

Hey Guys, Been a while since I have posted anything new, so I thought I would post up a picture of the 8" Proto I recently finished! It is a 8" long top water bait. It tracks very nice at slow speeds as well as burning. Great all around top water lipless bait! Lili

    Lead Heads

Hey Guys, Sorry if this is not the right place for this question, but I did not see a lead section! I have a new idea for weighting my 7" jointed lures, and am in need of someone who is in the know about lead and making and pouring weights. It is a specific design that I need made. If anyone cares to send me a PM regarding your skills and abilities with small lead weights... Please do! It's about the size of a worm weight, but only if you took a cutout section of it! Lili Man!
  15. The idea is obviously not new, but it is a good one. I have experimented with this type of application and it indeed works well. It is a difficult lure to produce, but the action is very fluid. I have a concept bait that I played around with a while back, and decided to top shelf it until right time had come. It was developed with a kevlar strip, threw a three piece lure. Worked great, and swam well, but the issues with the epoxy getting into the fibbers, or compromising the linear strength was an issue at the time. I have talked to many Kevlar manufactures and have tested out many different materials, and am still confidant that it will have it's time and place in the market here soon. By the way, Hazmail is right, and rubber or plastic material will indeed go bad in time, or dry out and crack! LILI Man!
  16. Looking for some help please... I have a bait that has an application for a small paddle type wheel with cupped paddles, as to make more noise as it is pulled threw water. This is not the typical application, as the blades will be applied parallel to the lure....and not like a plane, either at nose or rear! If anyone know where I can find some options I would greatly appreciate it! Lili Man!
  17. If you are ever interested in having me photo finish a few of those or other baits of yours, with my imaging tech. Please let me know! Lili Man!
  18. Mr. Hopkins, Very nice work as always. I really like the action on that second lure, but was very interested, in regards to the hook location on the second, since it seems to be a sinker and like to hold tight to the bottom. Are the hooks on the top, or on the bottom, hence the tank tear? Very realistic swimming action.

    Plastic glider

Those look very nice. You should send me a few and I will image them up for you! Looking for a good glide bait for the Cali big bass!

    7" Rainbow Trout glider

Trigger, That's a sweet glider. Would love to get one of those that I could wrap with a picture and use here for the big girls in Cali! I think glider baits are not readily accepted out here! Nice job, and glitter adds a new dimension. Cheers

    7" Salty Clones

Here are a few of the most recent baits to come off the rack. They are all on there way to their new homes. Cheers!
  22. Mark, Stay away from Feather lite........Found out that it's one of those learning curves you wish you had learned about earlier. It Gasses, and is not the best for accepting paints in my opinion. I'm using something new, and if it works out well I will let you know more about it! Feather lite has it's advantages in prototyping, but for production....I say no! Just my two cents!
  23. Kelp, The fact that you are playing around with the idea is good enough. I have been embeding the SPRO heavy swivels for a while now in my baits. The only words of caution that I have for you is "NO EYE SCREWS" this is the weakest point of any bait, and if you can get away from using screw eyes at all your baits will be all the better for your saltwater needs. The difference is I am pouring my baits and I believe you are using the JR Hopkins PVC method, which is a very effective method. Keep it up!!!!
