  1. Whenever i seal any of my painted lure bodis, it seems like i have a huge battle with keeping the rings free of the e-tex. how can i keep them from not getting blocked? (the litle metal rings attached to the bodies for the slplit rings)
  2. when using those tapes can you just paint over them? also, how do you apply them so they are smooth?
  3. As the title says, what kind of paper do you all use for the fins? Also, what is the process for applying it? after painting, can you let it dry, apply the paper, then E-tex (or epoxy) over it? Or do you have to clear coat the lures then put the fins on? That seems a bit tedius and not worth it to me if you have to do all that.
  4. its called Helping Hand Clamp i used an extra alligator clip in place of the magnifying glass though. it works GREAT!
  5. yeah, i think ive been going at it all wrong if i want black scales. i need to do a dark basecoat then go light. instead of doing all my colors then putting the mesh over it and painting the whole thing black.
  6. I searched but couldnt really find what i might be doing wrong. Anytime i try and get the pattern to come out, it makes everything else really dull and dark. If i do it too light, you cant really see the "scales" at all. Is there a way I can get a nice sharp scale look without making everything dull and dark?
