Just use a Twinjector. Don't see any reason it won't work. All my molds fill that same way.

Those were quotes to scare you off. Call clear bags. Still made over seas but at least they are someone to call and ask questions.

Just by the look of the baits it looks like the plastic has some lumps in it. For that mold and color you will need to shoot slow and give it a good push at the end to fill out the tail. Some colors are funny that way. You will have much more difficulty shooting this mold if you use small batches.

You will be happy with your purchase for many years. Great choice.

Don't think they sell parts of the Twinjector. But the block is available seperate and you can just leave off the last injector. It will only be a small Twinjector. If you decide to get both sets get the large Twinjector this way you will have about the same copacitys for both. I own all of them so this observation is from owning them for years.

Air pockets in tails does not always mean air in the injector. I get them when I don't fully push on the injector at the end. Depending on the mold most fill from the lowest point up. But if there is a narrowing near the tail it will require q final push at the end to force out any air left in the tail. On the comment of heating your plastic to 350, I never do this and never have a problem. Mine get to 330-335 and never any hotter. Getting it that hot put you real close to the point of no return( yellow plastic). You need to really know your temps if you get it that hot but in my opinion is not nessesary. These comments come from shooting about 5-6 drums a year by hand and no magic machines. If you get an infrared temp guage make sure and stir while you are getting g a reading, strait from the microwave it will have hot spots. Good luck.

Keep adding till it goes away. I know when you start you don't want to use large amounts but when using small amounts it is hard not to over do it. Retarder slows the drying down. Over doing it will not hurt anything at all.

I had this mold many years ago and it will laminate just try and keeep the temp of the plastic as low as you can with slow even pressure. Some mixing will happen but it won't be bad.

You would think that is the case but if we were his bread and butter he would answer the questions. Sorry to say we are lucky to have him to do this work. He makes production molds and I am guessing he takes care of that first. At 6-10k a mold it takes a lot of small ones to make that up. Just my thoughts. And he makes a great mold.

Spikeits Kudzu is a yellower green. It should work for you.

You will be fine with the new Pyrex or anchor cups just remember when you take it out of the microwave do not set it on something cold. You will have problems them. Amazon has some cups made the old way but they can be a bit costly. The four cup ones that anchor or Pyrex make are around 5-7 each. The ones from Amazon are 20. The name of the cups arcusine borosilicate glass measuring cups.

I have some you can have just pay for shipping. It is older than 6 years though. If that's the same one you want.

Good to use in paint but way to good for clean up! The lacquer thinner will serve you well.

You can use lacquer thinner to clean everything. It is probably easy to get in your area and cheaper.

MF has colorant called smoke purple smoke pearl and blue smoke pearl. Already mixed and ready to use. Could be either one from what I see on my monitor. All of the colorant makers have the hilite powder in blue and violet(purple). Add those and just a bit of black and you will get it.

Add just a bit of retarder and it will be fine. You are on the right track.

Get a temp gauge, it that simple. If you don't know what the temp is you are just guessing. And guessing will get you no where. The plastic you bought is different than most others in a way that it is thicker when at a temp that won't cause this problem. My comments are from using plastic made for the soft bait industry. I deal with a manufacturer of plastic so if I want it to be thinner at a lower temp I can have this. Repackagers of plastic can't offer you this. Get an infrared temp gun and take the temp as you stir. This will help out more than you know.

Plastic shrinks as it cools. The higher the temp when poured the more it will do that. Do you have a temp guage? This way you will know the temp that works best for you. 320 is about as high as I go air it will do that in injection molds.

I have had that happen and it sound funny but it's the colorant that does it. Some peoples colorant does that. Try and let it set and get a skin on top, remove it and inject again see if it is better.

If I want to paint for a long time I use an air brush with a .8 tip. This is big enough to never have a clogging problem but when the needle is open all the way it is like a hose. You won't have to reduce most colors but they will look Dottie and not smooth. If it looks like that you need to reduce it. Most people don't use anything close to that size needle but it works for me.

You want to make them or buy them? If you want the mold look at bobstackle shack they have one that looks like those.

Look at McMaster Carr you will find them there for about 60.00. Prices for these motors are all over the place in reguards to price.

Could. You please explain the problems you are having with the Spikeit colors. Sounds like you bought the water based ones but there are plenty of people that use them here so help is here if you want it. Please include what air brush you are using and the tip size.
