  1. Have seen this for years and years now. Be a salesman and offer him another bait in that same color. Sometimes it’s the color that keeps them fishing it. If it was available in another style he might use it too. Got a lot of guys to try more baits that way. Especially if it is a special color.

    Oh boy

The blending block has done a swirl for me when I did not want it. Use to have plenty of blems to prove it. With a little practice you can get great results.

    Oh boy

When using a dual injector system with two colors it works great only because both colors are real close to the same temperature( within 10 deg). If one is hotter it will swirl and mix with the colder one. Believe me when you Get a two color system you will find it will work. I would suggest you get a Twinjector from Basstackle. It will be an investment that will pay dividends in the end for you. A life long tool that will make your life much better than putting a kit together and be miserable. I would not tell you this if it did not work.

    Oh boy

You don’t need a cblock. Just make one hotter than the other.

    Oh boy

If you buy someone’s twin injector just make one color hotter than the other. It will make what you are describing. Nothing else to buy. I am sure a lot of us have gotten that when we did not want to.
  6. Have you looked at the Basstackle version? It’s a little fatter but with fine detail.
  7. Basstackle has them back up on there site. Today is 01-20-2021.
  8. Basstackle has them back up on the site. Better get it while you can. Today is 1-20-2021.
  9. Yes he does I know what he want in a trout worm. A high floating trout worm can be used many ways. Barely floating is not what is needed.
  10. Use this product. It is white and will change colors a lot but it works. Also use a dry fly hook. Really light hook. When using this stuff if you think you have added enough add more. https://www.ispikeit.com/product/772/flotation-beads-4009
  11. You could use measuring spoons or just table spoons to transfer to the air brush it takes a bit to fill larger cups but keeps the mess down. They also make some dropper type syringes for that but they are hard to clean when colors is inside.
  12. Sound like you have a mold that will not do laminates due to the design. Many molds are out there that will make laminates just have to look for molds that inject one at a time from the nose(mostly). They might have a few names like top pour or nose pour. Post up a pic of what you are wanting to buy and many here can tell you if it will laminate top to bottom. There’s plenty out there for sure.
  13. When I was really pouring a lot 90% were laminates. Now pour less and 95% are laminates. You will sell more baits if you can use a Twinjector or similar. But when they know you can make them they will ask for them. Not from laminate plates they are a waste of time(actual time). Cost is not an issue when production goes way up.
  14. And remember that is a 9 year old video. Things for me have changed. I have been using something I made years ago but never made a video of it. Soon I will make a video of it and you will see all that I have learned over the years from actually doing it. It’s simple to use and easy to fix if needed. And uses something about 3000 of you already have.
  15. Most people just take the advice and buy what works. There are other options but not at that price. Not saying that model does not have issues as well. But most of those can be solved easily. Buy that one and be happy. Buy the others and let us know if they work out.
  16. Get with clear bags. They can get you a quote on custom bags. You have been using them and know there quality so why change now.
  17. Keep in mind If you are wanting it from Basstackle I don’t believe Basstackle sell parts to convert to a Twinjector but it can be broken down into two individuals after it is purchased.
  18. Well you are going to have to find out what is making it do that. If you compounded your own then it is a formula problem I my opinion.
  19. That happen to me but take a lot longer than 20 minutes. If I leave mine in for hours it will absorb water. Might be your brand of plastic.
  20. A Twinjector history. First pic the first Twinjectors sold. This one has the locking pins I put in. Second a very early 6oz set up. And last a very modified production set. Top has linear bearings and steel shafts. I use these one almost exclusively even for single colors. As you can see they have evolved to what you have now
  21. It will be like that till it gets used a bit. Loosen the top knobs a little and also the top of the injector tubes. This will help it break in and loosen up. After awhile it will be just fine. Try and not tighten those part to much they don’t need it and will ensure a long life of your injectors.

    Injectors

Yes another vote for the 6 oz. Way back when it was new I was a fan of starting with the 3 oz just because it was smaller. There’s still a learning curve but I think the biggest challenge is keeping the plastic the same temp or at least 10 deg from each other. When starting out it good to ask and know the reason for price differences. Just so you know it is the same with molds so ask away.

    Injectors

Worth its weight in gold. You will know that when you get it.
