  1. Why not anymore did they stop selling to the public?
  2. Funny I get more hollows on side sprue molds. Just at the top of the cavitys.
  3. Just curious why do you want to inject on the side? Most of the time it means more sprue and if it is a laminate it means more waste.
  4. No fans because you could not hear me with them on. No respirator because it is my choice just like smoking which I don't. Read the msds sheet and it has no warnings that would alarm me. If I am wrong someone please point it out. Toxic if over heated but I am far from that. I have not tried the shooting star system. $1000 and 200 for shipping gets me a lot of presto pots. If I did that I would never clean out a presto again just have one for each color. You see when I work sooner or later I need to change colors and with that system I would need two or more and the room to store them in there assembled state. With my system I just change out the pots. This is the real reason I have not even given it a thought. Cleaning out the blending block is like opening a mold so it does not take long. And after two gallons of shooting there is about two cups of plastic from the cleaning out of the block. It can be remelted and reused at a later time or just before you are done remelt and put it back in the pots. I understand that this is not for some people but I have taken the time and effort to show how a system works for me. This system I use was developed by me someone who actually makes a lot of baits. Not by someone who's sells products. Does this help the sales yes but the profit does not find its way back to me. A little story that few know. The Twinjector concept was originally in my mind but Kevin at Basstackle took it and made it happen. With this rack it was not my idea but the heating and design was. I have the prototype and with someone who will listen like Kyle at High Rock molds it became something that is what you see today. It is not for everyone as it may not look as impressive as other systems but it is functional and will run with the best of them. By the way another of my ideas is in the video that many might over look. The table I am working on is a prep table for a Resturant that has been modified with a cooling rack underneath it. This helps out cooling the molds that get really really hot while using this system. Is it perfect no but it does help a lot. More on that later. Frank
  5. Just posted up a video on a new product from High Rock Molds. It is still the Twinjector but a base that is heated and holds the whole thing at a level that makes things easy. Also show how the blending block does not clog as others have said. Just another option for laminating. Frank
  6. Spikeit if you don't see it just call and ask Bruce. They have a lot that is not on the site. You say hilites but the colors you just mentioned are not in that style of pearl. Those would be pearls. Frank
  7. Ok try this. Keep the temp real low like 300 and make sure they both within ten degrees. This should help with good consistent baits. This line of molds has a real small gate and if the temp are hotter the plastic sprays from the gate and gives it a mixed look. When you try this the tails will be a bit of a challenge so make sure and hold pressure just for a second to make sure it fills. I am assuming you have a way of getting the temps close to the same not by eye or feel. Frank
  8. I mix mine every time I pour in the five. The drum only when I am getting fresh plastic out. The 2.5 gallon jugs are hard to get the corners to mix. Then I use welding rods in a bunch to break it up then the mixer. Frank
  9. What type of problems are you having? Those seem to be pretty straight forward molds. If it is mixing it is a temp problem. I shoot a lot of swim baits in the ringed version like that style. Maybe a picture? Not the good one the nineteen others. Frank

    Brush Hog ?

Both great choices you will be happy.
  11. Here is how I do it. First the drums from Spikeit have a lid that comes off. I use a paint mixer on a corded drill to mix in the drum then pump it out into the five gallon pail. The five gallon pail has a gamma lid on it so the top spins off to mix before you pour. The fives have a flat bottom and mix in a minute with a cordless drill and a smaller paint mixer. Not hard just a system that works for me. Not to much cost as most of it is not special. The drum mixer I did weld on a rod to extend it to be long enough to reach the bottom of the drum. While I don't consider Spikeit as one that hard packs it does settle so mixing is a must. The jugs it come in let it settle in the corners and is hard to loosen up.

    Brush Hog ?

Try the fat one from Basstackle. It is the same body diameter as the large one but short. http://www.basstackle.com/Fat_Body_hog_mold_p/fatbodyhogmold.htm
  13. Funny how the bait looks in the picture it does look like something different but I stand by my first opinion. Bold laser glitter from Lurecraft in lavender. Only because I have the baits in front of me and the color is way more like a lavender hologram than a clear hologram. And I have made it for one customer.
  14. Closest I have gotten to that was from Lurecraft laser glitter.
  15. Yes they are. You will like the quality of his injectors. Frank
  16. Just a bit of info if you want to match gy colors he uses Mf products. That will get you in the ball park. Frank
  17. My customers also use them as spinner bait trailers and buzz bait trailers.
  18. A-rig and just ball heads. Have them from 1.5 to 7.5 inches.
  19. Yes it is a lot of milling but it is in the tails. Thin and deep. To me the key to the bait. Get one and you will see. Frank
  20. Not real sure but you are right the pic is bad. Lure craft has some laser glitter that has that look but there pics are bad too. But like you said it is like hologram blue and that is the only place I have seen anything like that. I have some and it looks great. Frank
  21. I have the 631 but with the regular nose. The real key to both of the baits is the tail. It swims great at any speed. If you buy the regular nose ringed bait you could just pinch the nose off and you have the 631. Really don't believe there is another bait that swims better than this bait. At a show this weekend a pro was throwing the 631 on a 1/4 oz head in a tank full of bass and could not even show how to use the bait without getting bit. The crowd went wild as he just could not show them how well it works. But them again I guess he did. Either one is a great addition to your arsenal. Frank
  22. Sure you can. Just heat slow and stir often. You will be good to go. Frank
  23. Spike it sells it by the pound but I believe they told me there was a two pound per color minimum. And it is not cheap. Frank
