  1. That was probably my videos you were looking at. I still do use the pyrex that way and have yet to have a problem. A long time ago I slpashed some water on one and it did break. Not and explosion with all the bells and whistles like others but a loud crack and plastic all over my skillet. Thus the reason I have high sides on mine. What is pyrex made for? Is it not made for an oven and dont we let our wifes us it like that. So is your safety worth more than your wifes or mothers? It is tempered glass and is very unstable when treated without care. If it is so dangerous why is it in our cars from the driver back? Do you let your kids sit near a window in the car? It is the same glass we are talking about hear. Or maybe we should change that glass to some super glass like the one mentioned. Treat the pyrex with care dont stir with anything like a metal butter knife, spoon or fork. Use something round in design and NO corners. When you are done treat it with care and dont bang it around or together. There are more people that us them this way that care to comment. Way more. Frank
  2. Try this one form mcmaster carr. I have these to fix the removable ones. Not to rounded but works good. Frank 98381A539
  3. What I ment is if I have a customer that has me backed into a price structure that doe not allow me to use a product in that price range. I will use a lower priced plastic. Not saying it will give me a better bait just easier to use and not worry about it turning yellow to soon.I really like the plastic for my swim baits but dont even offer them to customers that are competing with others in a certain price bracket. Really like MF too but it too is in that same bracket. Frank
  4. All great posts and all have good points. I will say this plastic to me is the easiest to use and very forgiving for a novice. I really like a NEW guy to come up with a new idea for packaging and delivery. He has a bag in a box that is easy to mix and dispence. The 2 1/2 gallon bag fits in a priority box from usps. If others would do this the settling of the product would be easy to mix in without air being introduced. Can you imagine the space the jugs take up for everyone else. You may not think it is much but someone has to pay for the space it takes to store them. You will get it in a couple of days at most. That is why he can offer it shipping inc. Fresh ideas and an idea on easy to use makes for the start of a great product. He is not a reseller he makes it for himself. Drums are not in his plans for now but maybe in the near future. Can I use it on all of my baits NO but I can on some. For someone to use it for a first time it would set the bar pretty high when you start wanting to save money. If you look at the price increase for one bait it is not much mostly pennies. Frank
  5. I would say Super has it nailed down great. It will get better and better as it gets used more and more. The use of aluminium os the injectors Is not the best choice of material but makes for a real reasonable price. Being as tight a tolerance as they are causes a sticky plunger feel. I am not but I think Kevin told me he uses the viton orings I have changed mine to silicone ones and they stay pretty pliable all the time. On the Twinjector loose is good and makes it way easier to use till it gets broken in. I have a custom Twinjectors set that uses a radial bearing on both upper shafts. This is real smooth but really REALLY pricey. But It is only money. Frank
  6. On laminates I sell to dealers I add the price of the plastic that cant be used again. I have a bait that weighs an ounce but 1/4 of it is sprue. On baits I sell I add the price of the sprue on all the baits laminate or not just to cover if they cant be used again. But have to admit 90% of what I do is a laminate bait. I have one customer that uses certain colors I make for him as a single color in his line up. Then I just add labor and no cost for the plastic. I think laminates will open a bigger door for you than single colors. Colors people come up with will blow your mind and they will pay for it. I have alot of plastic that has built up and could stand for some remalt work. Frank
  7. I have a Jacobs unit and love it. As said before it is only single color so laminates are out at least for now. But a little Birdie told me there will be a laminate machine out in the next few weeks. I was told it was built just needed to get painted up. Spike it is the one that is suposed to build it. Frank
  8. Me too Romeo I have had some issues with molds and was told that it would be taken care of but not as of yet. I consider it a lesson learned. I will not BEG for good service I think it is something that has to come naturally. Frank

    shad pics 007

It does not match a fish it macthes my A rig that I sell. I have never used that bait for my A rig but sent a couple to some guys at Xmas time. To be really honest they were going to be sexy shad colors but the colors went bad so this is what I ended up with.
  10. Look at the bugeyed shad it is 4 and there is a new 8 cavity 4 no hook slot that looks more like a slick shad. Mine should be in the mail this week. Slick shad has a doublecut detail that looks more like scales . The bugeyed one has a single cut but the same basic design. Frank
  11. I second that and same for the 6 and 4 and 3 and 2.
  12. Welome to the forum. If you scrool up and look to the left side of you screen you will see how 2 tutorials click on soft plastics and there is a whole lot of info. Frank
  13. Yes you are right but you buy it in 5's to save money. Lure works is priced pretty good if you want a gallon not like some other that price there plastic so you want to buy 5's and let it sit around.Frank
  14. If we throw it all out there here this is my life. 4 kids out of the house and being productive adults. Here is the kicker one income and a wife with MS and no one home to help take care of her. Now it is to the point that it take two people to help her. Single income and dropping fast but need to shave pennys where I can. I cant be on a lake some where. I still find the time to stir because that is what I have time. I do get help from people at times but I am it. Frank
  15. Well I guess this is not going the way it should. I am guessng Mike has poured more baits today than most do in a year. So I guess he has poured a few baits and do respect his comments. Everybody has an opinion and that is good. I am open to what ever someone has to say, if it works for me then I will use it. Some dont like to mix but I have found out that if I dont want to mix then it cost me more than 10 dollars. Even at 10 dollars it is worth the ten minutes it takes to mix. Just me I guess but lately I have been pinching pennies more and more. Trying to make it more profitable. Frank
  16. I get there injectasol for 122 at my door. Which is the same price that I can get MF but I have to buy drums to get this price. Now I can have alot of differant compounds for the same price. It is not as easy to use but I just deal with it. I went through 2.5 gallons last night and only had to mix once. Frank
  17. Been pouring these alot lately with all the Arig craze going on. Basstackle has a large selection of thoset ypes of baits but most have a hook slot. Lets say the bugeyed shad for instance, I use MF super soft and it gives me the action people really like. The larger one in say six inches I use regular MF, just the weight gives it good action. He has a pretty proven design real comparable to a hollow belly. Like was stated before he has the hollow ones too. I have them from 2" to 6". If they have a top sprue The laminates are great but the side sprue is Ok but not as defined. Hope this helps. Frank
  18. I have about six or seven of those and theyall do that. I have left old plastic in a couple before and they are fine untill you clean them. Just the way they are I guess. By the way it has never caused a problem with me but I dont use white in them. Frank

    Pigments

By all means they are differant. If you get a recipe from me it includes a manufacturer along with the color. I can use black for instance in my opinion MF black is half as strong as Lure craft. That being said I have both and if I want a smoke color I use the MF, it being weaker makes a smoke that looks better to Me. Lure crafts white is strong but when I got some Spikeits white it was stronger and whiter. I probably have at least six green pumkins all have there place. I have a watermelon from Lurecraft that is so strong make you wonder if the formula is right. There are so many it is hard to remember them all.Frank
  20. Let me clarify what I ment. I ment the lureworks plastic is nothing like MF. I know it is lureworks stuff because I use it. There is nothing wrong with it and sending it back does no good. It is what it is and you get what you pay for. There are in my opinion two plastics that are real user friendly but they come at a premium price. If you want to save money then you spend more time. Putting it in a 5 gallon pail is ok but when you mix it and do not use it you have to do it again and again. the end pruduct is comparable nut just need a differant way to get there. Some of my customers actually like the feel of this plastic and say it is easier to bag for them. Everything has its place. Sorry if I confused anyone. Frank
  21. If this is your first plastic it will really set the bar pretty high as for ease of use and user friendly. One tip just heat it up and try and leave it alone, dont fuss with it to much. I put mine in and heat it all at once add color and flake and use it. One note on colors they are all pretty close on price BUT they do differ on strength. I have colors from just about everybody and they have there place. Some are weak and some are so strong you need to be carefull if you make small amounts. Frank
  22. Try a bit of super glue and see if that works. Not sure how long it will work but will help. Frank
  23. I agree you need more than just shaking. I use a welding rod folded in half and put in a drill motor. You need to break it up and stir it in. The wire is pretty easy on the plastic jugs too. Dont think you will have to worry about the 5 gallon pails they send my 5s in two 2 1/2 gallon jugs. Nothing like MF at all. Frank
  24. Can you tell us about the right one. Del has a 4 and a 4.5 one has a tail and one does not. Kevin(Basstackle) has a 4.5 with a tail. Frank
  25. It might be a tube that was already made. Not really older just updated. They are constantly working on new things with there injectors, so when a good idea come up they go with it. Kevins Dad is the injector guy there, he makes them and refines them. Glad to see that they are not happy with just being good enough but want to make it better. Frank
