    New large Grub

Hello gang check out my new large Grub. I never seen a grub poured in a rainbow trout or large mouth bass. So I taught it would be fun to see how they would look in these colors. Let me know what you guys think. Till next time. Frank
  8. Frank: If you leave a bait in the mold til very cool, like overnight, do you still get the dimple? You might either have to cut a vent or let the bait get completely cool to resolve that issue. I am guessing the large volume of plastic cooling is causing the problem. I have the same issue with one of my larger frog molds. If I leave it to cool completely, I get a complete frog. Jim Jim I have tried to leave the bait in the mold to cool a bit longer but with no success. The dimple still shows up. I will take you advice and cut in a few vent holes in the new mold to see if it helps out. I still have much to learn making these things. But enjoy this hobby a great deal. Thanks again Jim for your help. Frank
  9. Jim what s great looking bait. Nice work there. Jim I got a question for ya. I have been messing around with a full body mouse bait and have been having problems pouring it without it getting a dimple on bait. Can you share any tips. I was going to try to cut a few vents in my two piece silicone mold to see if I can correct the dimple issue. But if you can share a few tip I would appreciate it. Frank (Big Pancho)

Husky I make all of my own molds. This lure is the biggest one I have made to date. It is a very bulky lure but I think it will get the job done. The next step is to swim test this beast. I am going to be working on an internal lead hook set up as well. Stay tuned in for there completion. Frank

    8 inch big bait

Hello Jim there is alot of material in these baits and at a medium slow retrieve the bait will start to get moving. At a slow speed the tail does move but the action increases when you get the crank going. The hook is weighted within the bait . The baits have a very good 6/0 jig hook in them and the weight of the bait is 2.75 to 3.0 ounces. I gave a couple of these bait away to a couple of cool kids at a local tackle store here in California and both kid connected on some nice fish on them. Here is the report the kid wrote. http://www.swim-bait.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=807[/img]
