  1. Yeh I think ill just stay away from alu bibs and stay with lexan. I figured i would need to use a diffrent blade for metal but now thinking about it more it seems like alot more of a hassle having to switch blades then get it to track straight again. The disk sander attachment is pretty basic, all i did was Cut the bottom off a bucket and drill a hole through the center and attach it with the wheels center screw on the front of the bottom wheel so the spokes didnt rip out my fingers, and i just put a sanding disk on the front of that. and voila. Also really considering purchasing this mini lathe aswell. http://www.carbatec.com.au/woodfast-mini-lathe_c20064
  2. Hey guys i have had enough of the old scroll saw, Im looking at purchasing this http://www.carbatec.com.au/carba-tec-14-bandsaw-two-speed-bas-350b_c21215 It also says non ferrous materials so does that mean i could cut my own aluminum bibs on it? Last time i bought a bandsaw it was one of those small ryobi pieces of crap which has now found a second life as a disk sander. Do you think its going to be too big for small minnows and divers? Cheers Jaicob.
  3. These are awesome. I noticed your lips are pretty thick, Have you noticed much of a diffrence in comparison to thinner lips? Im just interested because i have quite a few sheets i found at the rubbish tip. think its about 3-4mm. Cheerio Jaicob.

  5. wow trying to track it straight is really quite frustrating, i manage to get the blade to track straight for about 8 rotations than it likes to drift to any of the sides of the wheel, the tension of the blade is anything but loose? I'm assuming its because the tool is low quality Ryobi150L
  6. well i have got .8th of mm between the two upper guides, i didn't need to adjust the lower guides, i have got the teeth in the center of the wheels. and the back up bearing just under a mm away from the blade.
  7. I have a question about the tension of the blade, should i be able to move the blade where you cut from side to side with ease or difficulty? the manual doesn't really elaborate.
  8. well i picked up a small desktop band saw, still trying to tune the guides it came with 3mm blade so thats pretty cool. o well back to tuning
  9. o sorry guys, majority of the wood will be pine so nothing to hard.
  10. hey guys this is my first post on TU but i have been stalking for a while now, i haven't posted because i haven't really had any questions. What do you guys prefer to use scroll saws or band saws? There only going too be smallish lures 8cm and downwards.Any advice on what you guys think would be the easiest of the two to start me off with would be extremely appreciated. Cheers guys.
