    Ghost Shrimp

Hello all. Do you guys have ghost shrimp in the USA. They are a very popular bait here in Australia and known as Yabbies,Nippers or Bass yabbies. Thought I would try and make one. I modled my master from clay then made my first mold from pop and the second mold from epoxy resin. I have managed to get the colors close. They look good in the water but not sure if the fish think so as I have not caught one yet. Robert
  11. I cast some fish years ago before I ever heard of SP and it worked fine. Like you said it does get warm but not enough too cook. I then use some builders silicon to cast the fish. No need for the fish to be frozen either. Robert
  12. Maybe thats where I went wrong. I'll give it another go. Thanks again. Robert
  13. Food coloring didnt go well at all it didnt mix and sepperated to the bottom of the PG in small globules. The proscess I used was to heat till PG untill it melted then added color. You guys must have different type of food coloring to what we have or at least what I was able to get. I tried my original idea of SP color and that worked well. Still I appreaciate the help. Robert
  14. Thanks Jigman. I did think of food coloring but didnt think it would mix with the PT. Im off to buy some lime green food coloring:). Thanks again. Robert
  15. Hello all this is my first post. Many thanks to the geniuses out there for their excellent posts I have learned so much from this site. Im about to start making scents using petroleum jelly as a base. I was wondering if any one doing this has tried to color the jelly. I was thinking about using soft plastics color. I had another brilliant idea recently and added glow powder paint to my plastic mix only to find it went through the plastic and bonded to the glass. Thanks in advance. Robert
