  1. LOVE THIS SITE almost as much as tackle making. Started making jigs to replace bad winter habits while the water is hard. Its a great replacement. I make Shakey round and football- screw loc jigs, as well as shakey round reg. and just got into bass jigs this year. Love fishin 1% more than lure makin so I do that most of the summer unless I burn up my supply. Fish Twain and Table Rock mostly but I am lookin to expand on that. Love fishin farm ponds and I'll rarely turn down a day for crappie. Good to see I am not alone in the tackle making world and hope I can help you as much as you guys/gals? have helped me. 2. Sorry if this is duplicated...having some issues getting the post to take... (new at this) Got my mold 2 weeks ago. Pours well. I use pins and glue after curing and I have 2 issues/complaints.that the guards don't stand away from the hook quite far enough for my liking. Since I have to drill out the hole after curing, I just adjust the angle about 1/16-1/8" then. The other is, the lighter jig doesn't stand up as well as the heavier ones do on hard bottom surfaces. Used a floating craw and that solved the problem. I know it isn't a stand-up jig, but has some of those properties and the others seem to do it pretty well. I haven't had anyone try them yet--water is a little hard here, but I used in my aquarium and couldn't get it snagged up on anything. The goldfish didn't seem to turned on by it but... Anyone know how well it sheds weeds? Seemed like it would end up being a good multi-purpose jig with the hidden eye and I cant test that part until spring. Hope this helps! Steve
  3. Totally agree! Charles is the man. Loved working with him and his products are great quality at an exceptional price. You can find some "similar" pricing with less selection but his service is worth any extra you might pay. On another note, anyone have any experience with round rubber. I hear there is still a "cult" following for rubber skirts, I really don't have a preference. One thing I have noticed is color selection is drastically reduced. Especially with the green's- watermelon/green pumpkin. Any suggestions where I may find rubber in these colors?
