  1. I would say medium. I catch a lot of fish on them in the surf and bay.
  2. DOA CAL Shad Tail in Stark Naked might fit the bill.
  3. Does anyone know which Lure Craft silicon single tail grub molds are most like Kalin's or Yamamoto grubs? I am looking for a 4" and a 5" grub mold. I know LC molds are measured by length in the mold. By LC measurements a 4" should be around 2 3/4" to 3" mold and a 5" should be around 3 1/4" to 3 1/2". The other important feature would be a mold with each oriented in the same direction to make pouring thin tails easier. I pour only for myself, my family and a few friends. So a silicone hand pour is best for me as it is sometimes months between using a mold. I am looking at a couple of molds: 5X649 5X651 5X807 5X460 5x436 5x864 5x723 Thanks
  4. I have tried a few of the LC molds in that size range. I had the same problem trying to find a 3" and never did get one exactly 3". I like the 681 and 376 best. I catch a lot of fish in the So Cal surf with both. The 681 is 3.5" with a big tail and the 376 is 2.75" with a small tail. Another one that is fairly good is the 787. It is 3.5" but I always trim the head off a bit to better fit a jighead. The 787 has a deeper body, more shad like. Good luck.
