Here is a idea for getting fine glitter if you cant find any.Just buy a cheap coffee grinder,mr coffee makes a good one for 10 bucks.Put your glitter in there and give it a whirl ,whips it to a powder like consistency...it works I have done this myself and the glitter is very,very,fine like powder .

Sorry haven't been around in a wile,but wanted to say that Vodkaman was right on with the comment about the syringes....that was the cause of the fish eyes . I pulled a new "syringe" out of the packaged and could see a oily looking substance on the rubber plunger,so I then just went to mixing up the etex without them and that did the trick,no more problems with fish eyes. I got the syringes free so no loose there,maybe I can use them for something else.Just one of the many reasons I love this board and the info it provides is priceless...thanks SF

I have not tried this method but Ive seen it done.Take a clear jar and put some glitter in it,apply a thin layer of clear on your bait,suspend your bait from the lid of the jar,screw the top on and shake'....then just apply a second coat of clear and your done.

Cool ,It doesn't have to be pretty,just work.I fear that once you but a couple lurles one there it might topple over...add a support as suggested and save yourself some swearing . Or you could just use those boots as counter weight on the:) 2x4s

You guys got me thinking....I think I know what it may be,I have been use Kills sealer which is oil based sealer.Could that cause this? The only other thing I have changed is I have been using plastic syringes too get a even mix on the etex.I don't think that's it though since they are medical grade. Thanks for all the help. SF

Been playing around with transparent paint and a new pattern .Really like how it changes color in differnt light. 6"bait will have a single rear hook and weighs about 1 oz. It will make you crossed eyed depending how you look at it -

I keep getting fish eyes in my top coat,anyone know what causes this?I tried brushing them out as it spins on the dryer but as soon as the wheel makes one revolution the imperfections reappear .I'm careful not to touch the paint after its painted......any thoughts on what causing this ? I use Etex and just started having this problem. Thanks SF

I use Kills stain blocker in a spray can,its oil based ,it seals and water proofs and gives a nice base coat that can be sanded.It dries really fast as well.

I have been using Distilled water without any problem's and I also use it to clean my air brush.Its cheap too.

wow lots of good ideas here,more than one way to skin a cat so to speak.Mine is very simple I use a heavy duty actuator motor use in hvac for controlling louvers,It could turn 50lbs of lures if need be.... I will post a pic later.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm still working on this one and should have it finished tonight .I used a very fine Emory paper to scuff the surface and the cretex is sticking well.I mess up the paint the first time and had to start over.
