  1. Not to go too far off topic but I'm using a G4 3 axis gimbal that is the smoothness part and that's shot at 1080p/60fps with no filter, with the filter on the glare would have been reduced - been having a lot of fun though and now that winter is approaching I hope to share with you guys some of my latest work i.e. been making larger muskie/salt water baits hope to do some decent video on it, hence the chasing of trains to gain a little more insight on the camera. Oh and just got the offer for my truck came in at $2800 and I get to keep the truck which was important as I put a new remanufactured motor and trans 3-4 years ago!
  2. Black and blue is my goto: http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q80/mrbilky/20130101_100521_zpsac74484c.jpg DSCF0310.jpg
  3. Been toying with 2 GoPro hero4's mostly rail fanning to learn all the in's and out's of these camera's it's been fun up to this point unfortunately my latest video session was when my truck was totaled:
  4. Yep I too remember that one.
  5. Man what a mess that will be if it fails for some reason
  6. Norpro mini mixer has a pencil thin attachment that fits in the most narrow opening in dropper bottles then when turned on it splays out to the sides of said bottle, works great and fast. How does that shaker work with standard 4oz bottles as it states up to 1oz bottles?
  7. Search for articles and posts from Bojon, he was great at explaining horizontal dipping unfortunately for us all he passed away a few years back but his insight lives on here.
  8. Yeah those one's from Poland look nice the next batch I order will probably be those.
  9. Yep second the drill bit!
  10. Salty's has some nice kits for Ski's price is right too.
  11. Well if it's a true iwata then it really comes down to price as long as it's not a knockoff you should be good but have you looked at some of the craft stores in your area they often have deep discount coupons to get you in the store and many carry the name brand AB's but as to the model that one is a winner for sure I love my iata's plain and simple they work great and very good feel in the hand.
  12. To get started check out youtube notably the handmade fisherman he has some great videos and goes through the whole process and makes it simplified, there are many others out there just search around on YT video really speeds up the understanding and the learning curve. Keep us posted on how your making out always like to see someone in school take these challenges on.
  13. I concur although I have not yet used his service I have read nothing but high praise from his customers and I read a lot, Jim from Predator Baits has some quality stuff as well and I have purchased from him IMHO both are outstanding sources.
  14. I'd be cautious about melting painted plastics unless you know what type of paint they are using stuff can be quite toxic, VPI comes to mind.
  15. When your up to it please post your outcome, I bought a bunch of paint but haven't had a chance to shoot any going to do a bunch of twitchy minnows and have a go at it.
  16. Think you'll find it better to post in the hard bait forum me thinks this section is site related
  17. the Talon is a good a brush as any and versatile.
  18. I'm probably mis-representing it as oil it is actually heat transfer fluid, not sure what brand I've since tossed the container years ago but I know it had a very high flash point well beyond the presto pot it was in.
  19. I hear ya it works great but a presto pot full of 325-350 oil is dangerous, I mounted the pot permanently to the table and made a custom lid that held the cans so they were submerged in the oil I've since bought tube molds I just get a much better product without the hassle of tail splitting and the danger of all that hot oil plus plastic.
  20. Ah yes get yourself some asparagus cans which are deep and narrow, unfortunately I will not reveal all my setup for safety reasons but will provide this, I work for a municipal government agency and if you can obtain heat transfer oil from the combustion dept. and have a presto pot you have what it takes to vertically dip with great potential and the dipping rods from LC are excellent for this. I have a setup with 5 different colors at stable temps to make loads of tubes without burning or major color change.
  21. Lurecraft makes an exact copy of the sluggo and it works fine. Easy bait to pour as it's a hand pour open mold.
  22. HaHa I hear your pain had a similar situation but you must admit not too many people are bending rebar for their wire like you musky guys
  23. I suspect that they may be pulling multiple colors up in the injector and pulsing the handles seems like a lot of effort and plastic for such a pattern. definitely not getting consistent results.
  24. So now I know why the fish I'm catching have the munchies and red eyes
