  1. Hey Chris sadly Bojon has passed early this year after some serious health problems.
  2. Yeah isn't that the word but if you go through Lurecraft I hear it's much quicker.
  3. I've seen both, the essential series is sand casted in their foundry so it has a sand finish if that makes any sense but I applaud them for creating this lineup I haven't met a fish yet that requires a machined finish on plastic bait, we as fishermen have lost touch with reality when we require super smooth perfect symmetry and tight tolerances in a mold. I'm happy with my Del's combo mold 4" and 5" 2 cavities each identical to the senko
  4. Yeah that's the reason but it wasn't and still isn't explained in the description when purchasing the mold some folks don't like selling baits with someone else's advertisement on them.
  5. I've read a few reports how they don't like the doit logo on the bait
  6. I have a Talon TS siphon fed for blowing down lots of paint but it really all depends on how many baits your doing at any one time the CS cup is pretty large, mine are BS's I like the smaller cup but again I don't do but a few at a time and have too many brushes now
  7. Yupppers the elcipse is the way to go
  8. I agree with the psi setting you're brush is a .3mm needle nozzle and the pearlized paints will be a bear shooting without the right reduction and air pressure I would up it a bit.
  9. Jaw if you have a hard time finding it for which I did in my area, go onto Lowes website you can order it for pick up at your local store at no additional cost, if you don't have a lowes try home depot with the same scenario that's how I got mine I just couldn't find it anywhere near me on the shelf and I went to no less than 10 places.
  10. https://www.youtube.com/user/paulpadam
  11. Yeah I read some of the info on their site, first time I've read that layering coats is not recommended with an acrylic?
  12. I use the 4012 high performance reducer and it's a dream to work with you just can't reduce say the whole bottle and be done with it, there is a pot life suggested think it was 72 hrs or something so only reduce what you need.
  13. Hey MG if that's the brush I sold ya by all means pick up the conversion kit it has it's place in your tool kit. That said it is kinda pain in the butt making the change during a painting session if your just popping out one or two baits for yourself but I find it great for basecoat and heavier pigmented paints, as Mark said I've been using the new high performance reducer 4012 from Createx with wicked and auto air and I can tell you it's a pleasure to work with it also reduces tip dry. I am not a fan of reducing with water and am on the fence with homebrews for one water does not extend the film properties of acrylic paint it thins it making for a weak paint film in the molecular arena and with all the other issues regarding top coats and additives not playing nice it's just not worth the hassle I've got a quart of it and if your just doing baits for yourself go for it it's worth the money. And what ever you do mark your parts with a sharpie or keep them separate from each other they are hard to separate after they co-mingle.
  14. Yep me too the.5mm is good for thicker acrylics I too have one setup with each.
  15. I've sprayed cheap glitter craft paint with no problems but that was a .66mm needle/nozzle I think your going to have problems with a ,35mm even a .5mm without serious reduction but keep us posted that's how we advance here by folks like you taking on challenges!
  16. Yeah they last forever but additives will cause some issues primarily salt and/or sand will eventually affect the gloss from the surface of the cavities.
  17. Don't buy into "airbrush ready" that all depends on your equipment, the actual color can also have an effect such as white as it is heavily pigmented, to get right down to it you'll only know the answer to that question when you get started with the equipment that you choose.
  18. Just passing it along Alumalite has come out with what they call amazing remelt which is a heat activated mold making material that is compatible with most of their casting resins, I don't have any yet but I can see this as a cheap solution to RTV mold making for resin baits the product can be reused over and over I didn't even catch the price yet but it sure sounds like a great tool for making resin molded parts/baits I guess Larry will be posting a video soon on its uses so stay tuned. I'm thinking about molding 3 D eyes with it in clear cast resin. Oh and I don't see that it will work with heated plastisol for obvious reasons
  19. Here you go this should help a bit: https://sites.google.com/site/donsairbrushtips/
  20. I use 5608 illustration base for standard Createx but if you have a wallmart near you go online and order the pledge future floor shine online and they will ship to your local store for pick-up that's how I did it.
  21. If your talking about the flow pencil I believe its has a self contained pump system, I think Frank uses one for dots and lat lines he may chime in if he sees this.
  22. HaHa silly me I responded to page 1 disregard
  23. I must of got a winner with my NEO cause mine never gave me problems it is retired to nail duty now but still working well.
