i know there are 2 different thicknesses for the claws 1 for hand pour and the other for injection. chris could have gotten the 2 switched up i have lots of his molds and it looks funny to see them all layed out and the hinges all go different directions and some have the keyway to open the molds on top some on bottom but the molds still work just a little off on the consistency might be the problem here if it doesnt pour at all
depending on the mass of the bait you made need to incorporate a larger area for extra plastic to draw into the bait while it is cooling...justa thought
congrats steve!! the wife and i did 3 bags of 1000 hooks in 4 days all of them were 1/2 3/4 and 1 oz footballs. so you know neither of us had alot of free time you or i!!
hey from the US what your doing is not heating your plastic enough. it goes through 3 stages basically 1. being milky white from the jug 2. is a semi-solid gel stage almost like a thick grease then 3. it starts to thin down to a clear state where your temps should be above 320 degrees. my wife and i have been doing this for quite some time and i have yet to see any plastic heat up in just 45 seconds. if it was it would be somewhere in the neighborhood of like 2000 watts i reckon. also make sure you are shaking/mixing the plastic up sufficiently and when you think you have it mixed up enough shake it awhile longer until you figure out just how much mixing it needs. let us know how it goes...jon/pw
JUST GOING BY THE 3 BAGS I HAVE OF THEM AND NOT ONE OF THEM APPEAR TO HAVE ANY HIGHLIGHTS AT ALL JUST PLAIN WHITE MAYBE THEY LEFT IT OUT OF THESE BUT THEY WERE BOUGHT IN 2 DIFFERENT STATES..MAYBE THEY LEFT IT OUT OF ALOT OF THEM???
turn your pot over and remove the little soft plastic plugs on the feet and drill thru that hole and just use some 1 1/4" drywall type screws to hold it on your stand
couldnt get the pics to load in the p.m. cory so ill send them here so everyone can see. if you look at the ports you will see where they were machined out to accept the injectors and that the bait on the left has some extra long appendages from it being vented for a handpour not injection but still make a great bait beside are 2 from an injection molds

the MYTH that you can change a protected bait by a certain percentage and be within in the limits of the law is totally a myth!! ask any patent attorney if you dont believe it!!
What do you think the color is on image #4? Just clear plastic with glitter?
Looks like a little white, a little white pearl and some violet highlight to me.
nope bryan it is just a light white with flake no highlights at all
as for them fishing any diferent you will have to decide they are to close for me too tell but im not a fish either?? LOL but your color is not clear it is white but ALOT less drops kindoa like you want a white smoke then use your flake to taste
if you remember the deaired soft and medium that Bear sold awhile back its supposed to be better than what that was to begin with!! and that stuff was great to work with IMO
i used to use createx but when i sold a bunch of beaver molds to a guy in japan we got to talking and he sent me 12 quarts of airbruch paints used in commercial machines to paint soft plastics over there. i would tell you the name but i cant read japanese at all!! LOL but i will tell you it smears initially but after 3-4 hours it is dry to the touch but i have gotten in the habit of just dipping in clear after i have 40-50 painted up and that seems to work for us!1
there is no need to preheatr any aluminum mold unless maybe it has condensation on it they will get plenty hot just using them. as for injecting tubes hotter plastic doesnt make them any easier to work with but as with any new toy there is a learning curve. and each person has their own ways to accomplich each task. it doesnt matter for me but i just usually am slinging plastic so i shoot everything fast so i can get the presto pots run out. you might try just shooting them with slight hand pressure and feel the plunger go in to start off with and as you gain experience with the tools you will find what works best for you. also medium makes for better tails but thats just an opinion
easiest way for me has been to open the soft plastics forum then search just that forum for "dipping" and it will show every post that has the word dipping in it
HAS ANYONE EVER USED ANY OF THE SILVER COLORANTS FROM M-F OR LURECRAFT? IF YOU HAVE WOULD YOU PLEASE EMAIL ME A PIC SO I CAN COMPARE IT TO A CUSTOMERS BAIT. IM NOT SURE IF I CAN MATCH IT OR NOT AND HAVE NEVER USED ANYTHING SILVER IN SOFT PLASTICS BEFORE...PW
