  1. i believe it is .oo8 chart or gold flake smoke color and just black on the other side
  2. i have 4 of those molds in 5" and they all work better than the senko molds never had a problem with them if you are getting dents they are caused by the smaller mid section cooling before it draws enough hot plastic down that far to fully allow the bait to stay expanded against the cavity and make a whole bait. might try a little hotter plastic to leave the center section warmer, longer.
  3. you can buy it by the pound from lurewrks as well here is a link http://ispikeit.com/Store/p-403-black-4201-hexagonal-cut-0040.aspx its for .040 black but you can get what you want there and its like 19-20 a pound.
  4. i couldnt get my old phone to power up to retrieve his number but bear should have it have you asked him? thats how i got it 3 or 4 years ago.
  5. maybe tokyo red? it used to be a custom color from a machine injection company from same country. havent seen it in several years. it reminded me alot of a translucent red like we used to use on sam rayburn in the late 80's
  6. if its on the sides of the body and an aluminum mold i took all of my beaver molds i used to have to a local machine shop and he took a 1/2" flat tool in his machine and cut .001 around the edges of the bodies and this allowed the bodies to completely fill.
  7. thats why its hard to give accurate information about presto pots and injecting baits here no 2 pots run the same neither do thermometers. also no 2 people will interpret the readings the same. this hobby is all about a "feel" for things either they work or they dont if they dont you try this way or that until you get somewhere where you are happy with the results. ask any question on any forum and there will never be just 1 answer you just have to do it and decide for yourself. after 22 drums i dont use a thermometer anymore i just know what to do if its a tad cold or way too hot and everyone can also but what works for me isnt necessarily going to work for the next guy
  8. i bet the salt was already settled before you even injected either temp was too high and salt settled under the blades or blades are set too high
  9. there is a place in WA that was making an additive for their own plastisol to make it stretchy but havent heard anything from them in a couple of years and the products were very very inconsistent
  10. methiolate and orange you will probably ned to add some kind of filler like white to get it more opaque
  11. it will get better i had back surgery in 2001 on the night before halloween and was back to work the week before thansgiving. once the stitches came out i took it easy for a week then started some mild rehab but a dr. told me too go swimming so i joined the local y cause it was cheaper than a health club and started just walking in the shallow end for a few days until i felt comfortable stroking and paddling around just floating. another key to my recovery was instead of taking the dr. workers comp wanted me to go to i chose a neurosurgeon and he had to grind on 3 vertabraes and remove alot of ruptured disc material and i only had an incision about 3/4" long; i hope yours goes as well as mine did. BTW i had mine at 41 yrs old. my only side effects are my pinky toe on my right foot goes numb after i have sat too long (avoid sitting)!! good luck in your recovery!!
  12. senkos depends on the ration of salt in your specific recipe as everyone has a favorite amount to add
  13. they will all bleed if you turn the heat up or keep it at working temp too long
  14. straighten out some large paper clips then make a small "u" in one end to hang in from a wire or coat hanger then put the other end into the tail of the bait
  15. i-spike it sell them their scent extracts and they are oil based the powerbait extract that is but if it sells fishermen thats all that matters!! fish dont have wallets

  19. we have 5 original pots with stirrers and they take about 12-16 minutes to heat up which gives you time to get everything ready to go. BTW thats heating a gallon of plastic to 350
