Is there anyone out there who can tell me who makes a good paddletail mold a la big hammer or fish trap? I am looking to purchase a couple in the 3 to 4 inch range. Any help would be appreciated. Rick

I did not realize that....does it thin just as well as the CS stuff?

You can still airbrush the vinyl paint...but it 1st needs to be thinned out. And I could only find vinyl paint thinner at any of the lure building supply stores..ie...netcraft lurecraft...etc....i have a paasche airbrush and it works for me very well...i used to use the cheap harbor freight air brush and still do if i am airbrushing shades and/or single colors....because if it breaks...who cares. But for the more detailed stuff i use the good stuff. The air brush made by harbor freight is just easy to tear apart and beat up on. BASS and other Mags have coupons for HF to make it even cheaper. But for the meat and bones colors DEFINITELY a higher end airbrush is best.

Caught this beautiful smallie using a dbl colorado bladed craw colored 1/2oz spinnerbait. -
Can any of you guys tell me what epoxy coating you guys use on you spinnerbaits? I am having a really difficult time finding a good protective coating that stays clear and wont chip after a half days use.

Been having some real success with neko rigged worms so i decided to pour my own....That is until it became 116 degree heat here in the desert -
A friend of mine provided me with the mold so i decided to try and imitate a hitch. It swims real nice -
A friend gave me this mold and I tried to imitate something along the lines of hitch...it swims real good...i just need a better place to pour than my kitchen. -
I like the looks of your bait...especially the coloring. Where do you get your plastic from to pour those baits? And what do you use for your colors -

Can anyone tell me specifically what kind of PVC you are using to make you lure bodies. I can't seem to locate the right stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A color i made on a whim since i was bored. I used masking tape for the pattern and placed it on another homemade half ouncer. -
This one as well as the other two were made with a half oz head. The paint is regular vinyl lure paint. I think they came out pretty well...but i may have to wait till the spring to see if they produce -

Those are gorgeous baits. Good luck on your opener. I am curious as to what type of resin you used and what kind of paint also? Rick
