  1. Thanks for your speedy response, Dave. I injected 2 different kinds of molds..Del's DES and Stik mold. They both only have vent holes on the bottom at the tails. Also closed up the two sides of the mold very tightly. Both gave me the same probs. I also tried different pressures on pushing down on the the injector..very slow, slow and med.
  2. Hi, I'm using a 4 oz. hand injector and injecting into hand pour molds. The tip fits fine but after injecting the 1st cavity, it seems that pressure or air is making the previous filled cavity or cavities purge or push plastic out of the sprue. Do any of you have any advice on injecting hand pour molds? Thanks alot!
  3. Thanks for all your reponses guys! Now I know what I can use and what I can't.
  4. Hey all! I've been using worm oil from various manufactures and wondering if there's any household items that can be used as an alternative? Maybe some kind of oil in the kitchen or Pam? I usually use worm oil for bagging, cutting tails on tubes, etc. Thank you in advance for any advice!
  5. I used a scouring (metal) pad on mine and does fine in the microwave. On one of my cups there was a very small missed spot on the aluminum and it created sparks..make sure you are thorough in dulling the entire surface.
  6. Thanks for the tips Scott! Used regular super glue using some aluminum flashing I had lying around the garage. Mold came out great! Finishing it off in the oven and made some 50/50 elmers and water for sealing to be stored in a jar. Your picture was a help to me. Thanks again!
  7. Hello fellow bait makers. I've been pouring a while and have my share of aluminum, urethane and rtv molds that I bought. I've been recently trying to make my own pop molds and have been running into probs. I've read all forums about pop and appreciate all who have shared their info. I've tried super glue gel or double sided tape but my masters aren't holding down therefore resulting in pop seeping underneath. Any advice on how to properly secure the master to the bottom of the box? I also have a question about the sealing process. I'm using the 50/50 method of elmers glue and water but wanted to know how you guys store your mixture so you can give multiple coats without having to mix a new batch everytime. Can I mix a batch and store in maybe a mason jar? Any advice is greatly appreciated and if I actually make something I'm proud of, I'll post a pic of the mold and bait. Thanks in advance for any responses!
  8. Thanks for the info guys! I guess I don't need to worry about the plastic going bad on me. Thought I might have to cook the plastic then melt it if needed later...what a waste that have been.
  9. Hello pourers! Kind of a newbie here, I've been pouring for about a year. I bought 5 gallons of plastic and poured what I need for now. I keep the jug of plastic indoors in a dark closet and was wondering what the shlef life is if any. Thanks in advance and love this forum guys.
