Hey Rayburn, your doing good, something I do, I look at pics & try and match the colors best I can, I have a color wheel which I got at michaels craft store, it has helped with mixing colors, so I get a close match, Just my "Dime" Im just a average painter....Mike -
Hey Guys Thanks, The bait is made upside down, acting like a dying bait fish lying upside down in the water, when fished, it dances all over the place, The blank I purchased is a mirror image of a (Megabass Anthrax Topwater Bait) which sells for $27.........Mike -

Hey Pike I use Auto Air / Createx Paint, I only paint plastic bait bodies, The paint Im using is a waterbase paint, so when I do mess up, I can wash it off & start over. I do airbrush onto craft paper to see what my colors will look like, before I shoot my bait. I shoot diff types of paints, Pearl, Metallic, Candy & Opaque's , Dont forget once you clearcoat your bait the colors will pop out. Theres alot of very good painters here, which Im sure will chime in. Enjoy.........Mike -

J The cracked pattern, Michaels Craft store sells a brush on gel, called Weathered Wood, after you paint ur base coat, this will be the color of the cracks, make sure the base coat is dry, if not, ur base coat will smear, The thicker the gel, the bigger the cracks will be. Let the gel sit for 45min, as you spray ur top coat/coats the cracks with appear........Mike

Tater, no problem, Thanks for the info, I cant worry about all the detail, that will make my head hurt, Ive painted some bright baits, for which caught some nice Bass, I was just wondering what all these baits in HD were about? Ive been trying to paint some natural colors & patterns, as well....Thanks Again Mike

Tater & Fat Fingers....Thanks Tater, I have some of ur Baits, I hope im not sounding dumb, but Im a survivor of a Brain Injury and stuff just dont stay in my head. Id like to know where it goes, LOL. When I paint baits I have to look at the pictures to recall the colors, same as reading, I have to ask what stuff means at times, like this HD stuff, Thanks ....Mike
