Hi all. I am sure that my question has been asked but I didn't find what I was looking for when I did a google search. So, what is the best paint to use when painting a jig head? Can I take my wife's nail pollish and use it and not worry about it (sent from it) in the water days later? does marker work and stick? What I want to know is what can I use that will work, work well and not have a sent to it when wet. also, can I get said paint anywhere and not have to go to a special shop? Thanks!! G

TKS diemai. This is my first ever jig that I have "dressed" and painted, it's for my 5-year old daughter (hence the colours). Any thoughts as to how I can make it better next time? Cheers.

tks for the welcome. I fish for bass and now walleye and musky. I'm 100% new to lure making and so on. I do however want to start making some bucktail jigs (not the jig head as I can't have those tools around with the kids) so I'll just order the unfinished ones in bulk. Then I may get into some R and inline spinner baits as time moves on.
