    thankx much smalljaw! can't say i have any tro.with safety pin baits,only in line spinners.i will try smaller wire and downsize clevis also.NOTE!SOME OF MY FAV. MUSKY IN VILAS CO.WI. HAVE TURNED INTO GREAT SMALLMOUTH LAKES!!! LOVE SMALLMOUTH ALSO. ANY OTHERideas about inlines? thankx again .

    :)i make many of my own musky bucktails.i don't have any trouble with heavy (.040) blades spinning. BUT i have bought many lighter weight blades and many of them DO NOT SPIN ALLA TIME! i gotta have them spin every cast without having to jerk the bait.can anyone help or advise me. i would really appreciate it. thanks , gary:?

    are you talking dressed hooks or bodies? I like windells hooks or mepps hooks.bodies and most all other compnents i buy iget from rollie and helen. ialso always stop in there when i fish vilas co. wi. good luck!
