  1. i typically do a bunch of the same segment then do a bunch of the next segment and so forth instead of doing all the segments then moving on to the next bait. keeps me focused on the resin consistency for each segment for a bunch of baits. youll figure it out then you will move onto changing the density in the cross section of the segment which is really fun stuff.
  2. I told you earlier mike you can either burn them on or cook them on. I want to tell you so bad but whats the fun in that
  3. you would laugh at how i figured it out. i mean honestly i tried for months to get it then one day i was in the garage and on the shelf was a 20 yr old cricket cage with a mesh that was just right.. so i cut out the mesh then I.......
  4. why not piano hinge style? by far the best joint

    Cleared

I agree RiverMan. Two ton is good for "glueing" as well.

    Cleared

Well got it cleared with automotive clear. I will have to say, i will never use etex or 2ton again for a top coat. This stuff looks great and is so quick. Just follow all safety precautions and you wont be dipping and turning ect. anymore lol.

Well wish me luck on the auto clear, already caught 3 fish on this thing with no paint lol
  17. cool. good luck. You may could get away with putting the hook hangar in the very front of the second segment. Just like with any bait, trial and error will get you where you want to go.
  18. Do you have any video? Do you have to burn it to get your swimming action? Just judging by your pictures, I bet that thing sinks like a rock only being 3 or 4 inches long with ballast in two sections and you took out probably 1/4 of the wood and replaced it with lexan. That may be what your looking for the bait to do not sure? Vodkaman is right though put the first hook in the first section of the bait. Honestly putting the hook in the tail is not the best thing either. To me, you want the tail section to be the lightest and most free of all the segments. Anyhow just my two cents

    Look What I Found

Well im done with heat fishing for a while. So I went through some stuff I was working on this winter that didnt get done. I forgot I even did this one. Time to get to work before the fall gourge comes.
  20. Where are you guys spraying this stuff? I havent bit the bullet yet to do this bc Im limited on where I can spray. I was thinking the garage with fans but im reluctant because there is a door to my house in the garage and im fearful fumes may leak in. Anyone just spraying outdoors unsheltered?
  21. Thanks man. If I can get this clear figured out I'd shared a few. Guess I'm my own worse critic lol
  22. Thanks Jay. I just want a cleaner look. I have spent a lot of time carving details and the bulky epoxies just cover it up. If I can get my ??s answered I think I'm gonna try it
  23. im assuming the 81 is compatible with createx. Also any suggestions on brush tip size. Think im gonna go pick me up another brush dedicated to spraying but wanna get the "correct" tip size
  24. Thanks Dick. Do you mind if I pm you a few additional questions?
