  1. 90761 BR 30 degree flat eye... trying to find some.
  2. Is the bottle feed going to be any better for my base paints, just black and white. The Eclipse I have with the .35 just sprayed so much better than my neo and its so much easier to clean.
  3. I've been using an Iwata NEO bottle feed for my base coats, but when it clogged I started using my Eclipse and it seemed to spray better even though it is a .35 nozzle. If you just had one brush to use for everything what would it be? Can I just dump my Neo and keep it simple and use the Eclipse? Joe
  4. What about the McStick?
  5. I basically just want to take a flat brown paca chunk and add blue flake to it.
  6. Is there a good way/product to do this?
  7. Thanks, was just looking at the jig skirts. They are priced low without having to get a bunch and the shipping is low enough it's not bad. Just making sure the site is legit Thanks, was just looking at the jig skirts. They are priced low without having to get a bunch and the shipping is low enough it's not bad. 8. The shipping was fairly cheap, that's why I was wondering.
  9. Has anyone bought from them? Joe

    Pin Vises

Anyone know of a real cheap place to get a bunch? I saw Dwain Batey and like the way he has his set up with the baits all in a row, secured with vises.
  12. Goolie your post came in as I was writing, thanks
  13. Thanks for the responses guys... I've never understood the application for Createx gloss coat/top coat? Can I spray these, heat set the gloss, and then continue to spray different colors over them? Also Can I use it to just add a protective layer and then use the scaling over it? Another ? Can I use the gloss and then use my regular finish for the final step (Either dipping in MCU or brushing D2T?
  14. Are you talking about a createx gloss coat or something like that?
  15. I'm having a problem with my mesh scale material nicking/scratching the paint underneath it. Is this just part of using it? Or is it my material? I think I just got it from hobby lobby or something. It makes me not want to use the scaling at all. The last time it happened the baits had been sitting for a few hours at least - so I believe the paint was dry.

    Reducer

Thank you for the reply..I believe on the createx bottle is says to thin with 5608 illustration base....It's just hard to find in town. I guess I should try that. There are so many different ones it's just confusing to me honestly. Maybe I'm getting thinner and reducer mixed up? heck i don't know.

    Reducer

Confused on reducers.. it seems like there is a lot of them (Auto air, wicked, etc). Am I better off using a reducer vs just plain water? I would like to reduce the tip dry I have with the acrylic paints. I use plain createx transparent and opaque paints and acrylic craft paints. I use Dick nite for a topcoat if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.
  18. Went ahead and got the Eclipse. Think it will work good.
  19. If it makes a difference I have a Siphon feed with a .5 mm tip I use for basically just white and black. But i'm getting another gravity feed, and I've read the Eclipse sprays a thicker paint better.
  20. I'm looking at the Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, would this be my best bet? I mostly spray thinned acrylic paints, as well as some createx airbrush paints. Probably 70-30 on acrylic vs createx.
  21. If you buy a cheap brush you likely won't get far. Spend the money and buy a quality brush, where you can get replacement parts. And probably most important, learn how to clean your brush. I've learned mostly from trial and error and searching through forums such as this. I also used a video from Amistad Tackle that you can pick up some basics from.
  22. Bob P, I'm a little clueless on this? I use craft glitter suspended in a clear acrylic medium and apply/dry it before topcoating so that it all lays down flat. When I used devcon I always just mixed in fine glitter when I mixed the epoxy. Joe
