Hi!
I’m a happy fisherman from Sweden and I got a question for your guys in the US. Now I don't know if this is the right forum for this kind of question but as I'm a member here due to my interest in making baits, I thought I might give it a try anyway.
Well, I bought a shimano stradic FI 3000 reel on the bay and I have fished the reel a couple times now.
It is a nice reel in many ways but one thing is getting to me and I just can’t let it go. The reel have a small backplay at handle. I just can’t tell if it’s the gears/ Super Stopper bearing, joint in the long screw in handle or something else.
Maybe this small amount of back play is an acceptable tolerance for a reel in the price range like the stradics?
I have a couple of daiwa certate and okuma VS reels by comparison and there is no such a back play on those reels.
So before it's even worth getting inside the reel, is there anybody that have a stradic FI and experience similar back play or can set me straight?
Anders
